Well, fall is here, but it’s still pretty warm. We’re expecting 80’s most every day this week, but I’m going to start putting some fall type comfort foods on my menu anyway. Maybe if I cook like it’s cooler, the temperature will actually turn cooler, hehehe 🙂 Last week went pretty much according to plan. I made everything on my menu but the spaghetti, but that’s always a “fall back” type of meal for me – I always have everything on hand, so I can make that anytime. This week – well, this week is another story. We have a PGA golf tournament here, two football games on TV (the Saints on Monday Night Football and our college team on Thurs PM), plus a German festival this coming weekend that we almost always go to and get brats. So — very little of this might actually get cooked! Sigh. A girl can plan though 😀
Thanks to Laura at OrgJunkie for organizing and hosting this each week! Go check out her blog and you’ll find tons more recipes and menu plans.
Monday – Golden Potato Soup, Buttermilk Wheat Bread
Tuesday – baked chicken, garlic smashed potatoes, green beans
Wednesday – Light Night before Tim weighs in – eggs, oatmeal, toast
Thursday – Football Food – Pepperoni Bread, bean dip and chips
Friday – Date Night or Beef Stew
Saturday – Date Night or Spaghetti, bread, broccoli (stand by meal)

Frito pie? That sounds delish!
You had me at “Golden potato…”
The rest sort of fades into the background. lol
Happy Monday, Stacy!
Pepperoni bread??? Great menu plan this week!!
I love potato soup, I love to add brocolli !
Sounds good!! Potato soup is my very favorite. Enjoy!
You are sooo stinkin creative..yummy
Potato soup has got to be one of the best comfort foods ever. Your recipe has made my mouth water. I’m going to try it and just to add to the ‘gold’ idea use some Yukon Gold potatoes. 😉
Sounds like a busy week for you and Tim. Have a great one!
Cheers,
Bev
Oh how I love Potatoe soup! I love this time of the year! Now if it will just start getting cooler around here!

We had chicken wings yesterday with cheese fries…I thought of you. Your menu sounds great.
I should go warm up my lunch. You just made my tummy growl.
I LOVE frito pies and Greek festivals. lol Have a great week!
You’re killing me with the homemade bread, you know?
Would you believe that in 16 years of marriage, I have only used menu planning for a brief period of time long ago, before kids? Nowadays, we “wing it.” Not really a good idea.
Potato soup is one of my favorites! I like that part about cooking like it’s cool and maybe it will be cool, I should try that. 🙂
And I almost laughed out loud at your Sunday, German food at the festival or….Frito pie! They’re so different, as night and day! If Fred comes, you’ll go to the German festival. 🙂
Football food sounds good to me!
How do you make pepperoni bread? I think we would love that!
We love frito pie!!:)
Yep, once again your house is the place to be watching a football game- pepperoni bread sounds delish!
I love garlic smashed potatoes, my husband lately however has liked the red skin potatoes smashed and leaving the skins .
and I love that you always do a date night:)
I just emailed myself a copy of the Golden Potato Soup. Mmm!
I can’t believe you didn’t do football food tonight for the Saints game! What’s going on on Thursday night?
