Hello Internet 🙂 Am I the only person in the world with this idiosyncrasy?
I’m vacuuming the carpet, and I see a speck of dirt or something on the floor. I run the vacuum over it, and it won’t come up. I run it over it a couple more times, but the darn thing won’t pick up. So, I bend over and pick it up, then toss it back on the floor and try again. I swear it, I ran the vacuum cleaner over that speck of dirt probably 8 or 9 times before it finally picked up. Then, I stopped and thought – why didn’t I walk to the garbage can and throw it away, after I had gone to the trouble to bend over and pick it up? Is it just me? Has anyone else ever done this? 😳
Yes, I have !!
I think it’s a natural instinct to think your vacuum cleaner will actually PICK UP dirt or whatever from the floor.
Yes, unfortunately I have done it too! But I am also getting to where now I am more likely just to pick it up the first and just go throw it away instead of still trying to vacumm it up, so you may get there yet.
oh yeah…so totally do that lol…and the more i run the vac over it & it doesn’t get picked up, the faster back & forth i move the vac over it–like THAT’S going to help! asif i can WILL the vac to suck harder LOL!!
HA!! That is so funny!!! I do it all the time. I think it’s my stubbornness!! I have to MAKE the vacuum pick it up since it’s job!!! LOL
