Cleaning out SB Magazines

It’s just the tip of the iceberg, but I’m feeling rather proud of myself this afternoon. I have been wanting to get started on cleaning out some stuff out of my scraproom (which also doubles as our computer room). This room is bulging at the seams, and most of it is my junk, so I really need to knuckle down and get started.

I still haven’t uploaded my pictures from DC, which I still need to work on, but I got industrious this afternoon and started going through old scrapbook magazines. And when I say old, I mean old, especially by today’s scrapbook standards. I just flipped through all of my magazines from 2001 (both Creating Keepsakes and PaperKuts, I had subscriptions to both of those that year), and I couldn’t believe how much styles had changed. In those days, creative alphabets, letter templates, punches and die cuts still really ruled. What’s worse is the realization of how many supplies from that “era” that I still have and have not used. I seem to only want to scrap with the latest stuff, and so a bunch of my stuff keeps getting pushed back in favor of something new.

Anyway, I just tossed two piles of magazines. Now, to tackle newer years and then start weeding through some old supplies (punches, paper, die cuts, etc). A long way to go, but at least it’s a start! 🙂
