As seen on Kim’s blog, from the original source, Miz B:

To play along, just answer the following three (3) questions…
• What are you currently reading?
• What did you recently finish reading?
• What do you think you’ll read next?

OK, I haven’t talked books in a while, and I have been trying to read more. I LOVE my Kindle, and have read a lot of books on it since I got it for my birthday last fall. I’ve been trying to get Tim to read on it, so I loaned it to him a couple of weeks ago for him to read a free book I had gotten and really enjoyed. That gave me time to read a couple of “real” books that I had on my bookshelves.

Let’s see, I’m currently reading: The Justice Game by Randy Singer on my Kindle. It’s another freebie from Amazon, a Christian legal thriller. I’m really enjoying it so far 🙂

What did I recently finish reading? While Tim had my Kindle, I knocked out three “real” books from my bookshelves. Two I had won and one I had purchased. I read “The Swiss Courier” by Tricia Goyer & Mike Yorkey (WWII story about the Swiss Underground and the fight against the Nazis). I also read “Mystery at the Inn”, last fall’s offering of the Grace Chapel Inn set of books by Guideposts. Lastly, I read “Secrets” by Robin Jones Gunn, a freebie I won online. It’s the first of a series, but I probably won’t purchase any. They were all good, and I enjoyed each of them (all Christian fiction).

Lastly, what I might read next? That’s always hard for me to pick, as I’m a moody reader. Right now, I’m leaning toward the sequel to “Gone To Green”, that I got free recently from Amazon, called “Goodness Gracious Green” (by Judy Christie). I might read “Always the Baker, Never the Bride” on my Kindle instead. If Tim wants to read on my Kindle again, I’ll probably read “Under the Cajun Moon” by Mindy Starns Clark, which is languishing on my bookshelves.

How about you? Have you read any good books lately? Are you reading one now? Happy Reading! 🙂

  1. RandomizeME Said,

I got all those Kindle freebies too! I haven’t gotten around to reading them yet, since they aren’t really in my usual genre. I thought I’d keep them around for when I’m in a dryspell and can’t afford to buy my usual books 😉

    Here’s my WWW Wednesdays contribution!

  2. Kim Said,

Hi! Good to see you again! I just downloaded Good Gracious Green last night onto my Kindle–the reviews for it all looked positive. You so totally should blog more about books–the blogging book world is a thriving and flourishing and welcoming place on the interweb–I have learned so much and found so many titles and authers through this community. The 24 hour read-a-thon held 2x a year is amazing. Sam reads with me and we never make it 24 hours but we have a blast together. The next one is I think, April 8-9–or whatever that Saturday into Sunday is.
    Enjoy your books–
    *smiles*

  3. Karen Said,

I enjoy stories set during WWII. Such a fascinating time period. I just finished The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, which takes place just after WWII. I also read The Help not too long ago and I would highly recommend it!

  4. Deanna Said,

I have the Randy Singer book on my Kindle too! I can’t wait to get to it.

Right now I am reading The Shadowed Mind by Julie Cave. You have to add it to your list. Wow!

  5. Laura Said,

Reading The Bourne Identity (but you already knew that). Need to pick it up again as I’ve been playing WoW the past week instead of reading (BAD READER!!)
Husband is reading through the Outlander series… can’t remember which book he’s on. Maybe the 3rd one.
Andrew is reading… well, he loves Richard Scarry’s Cars and Trucks and Things That Go and his Bible (particularly the New Testament, lol).

  6. Debi M. Said,

I have Under the Cajun Moon languishing in my pile also. Love Mindy Starns Clark’s books.

  7. Desert Songbird Said,

Well, as you know, I just received a Kindle, so I’m still exploring. I downloaded some classics, and I’m reading Pride and Prejudice.. I just finished in hardback that I received for my birthday in 2009; it’s an autographed copy of a mystery by one of my favorite authors. The book title is Body in the Sleigh by Katherine Hall Page.

I’m planning to read the “Girl Who……….” series on my Kindle, soon.
