Today’s Christmas-themed poll is always a favorite of mine. My tree and my Snow Village are some of my most favorite decorations, and I always love hearing about what other people have and how they decorate at their house. Everyone has their own traditions and reasons, and it’s always fun for me to read about them.

Artificial tree, colored lights, and it’s the same every year. I used to want white lights, but I went with colored for Grayson. Funny thing is, now I prefer colored!
The tree is always decorated with colored lights and a la Charlie Brown – no theme, just a mishmosh of everything we want. The only thing I require is that the kids put on the old glass bulbs from when I was a kid. Anything else is up to them, since they decorate the tree every year.
My favorite decorations are my It’s a Wonderful Life Village houses. I only have a couple of them, but I set them out, all lit up and they look really pretty.
I have two trees this year. Our real tree is in the family room where we can enjoy it all the time. It has our special ornaments on it and this is where our presents go. I also have a tree in our living room because I like seeing a tree in the front window. It has all of my traditional decorations on it — colorful glass ornaments. It’s artificial and it’s just for decoration. I never did get my Snow Village up this year! I just don’t have a place that it would naturally fit in. I have to work on that for next year.
A very tall, artificial tree with white lights. I’d love a real tree, but my allergies would not love it! 😉 I haven’t put out all my decorations this year since Brandon had his surgery. I was lucky I got the tree up and the few things out I did! We did manage getting some lights outside before his surgery so at least it looks a little Christmasy here.
Our family tree has white lights. The trees in the kids’ rooms are multicolored. They are all fake!

I am a bit surprised at how many people have artificial trees. I am sure we will someday as buying a real one is getting to be so expensive each year.
My favorite decorations are all of them! I especially love all my folk art santas and snowmen that my mom has made for me over the years.
I always do the same tree every year but changed it up this year…I have santas and reds and golds this year. And love it. Madison has a pink and black tree to match her room and Miller has a mini tree with what not ornaments that are plastic…he loves it though.
I just have my little tree up this year. If if I weren’t cutting costs this year, I would have a real tree with colored lights.

I have no choice but to have an artificial tree–I can’t afford what they charge for real trees down here–but there *must* be colored lights on it! I love the way they reflect & sparkle on the ornaments!
