After a really terrific weekend, my Monday is off to a roaring start. Today is the day for my annual checkup, at that lovely doctor’s office all women love to visit. I can’t say that I love to go, in fact, I dread it every year, but I do go to make sure everything is ok. Hopefully, it will all be routine and nothing is wrong. I’ve posted a QOTD in the past about this topic, and surprisingly, quite a few people said they disliked going to the dentist more than the doctor! I can’t seem to think of another QOTD along these same lines, so I’ll just ask a simple one – did you have a good weekend and do you have anything special coming up this week?
We had a really good weekend, Tim and I. We did a lot of fun things together, watched some TV and a movie, got all of my pansies planted, visited a new deli for lunch and a new coffeeshop for a cup of coffee and just generally enjoyed every minute we spent together. I don’t have a lot planned for this week, after today’s trip to the doctor. How about you?

Good for you. I have to confess, I totally blew mine off this year. 🙁 Just got out of sync. But I’m making my appt. now for February. I refuse to go around the holidays. Thanks for the reminder.
As for the QOTD: the weekend was good. Cooked up a storm (french onion soup, minestrone soup, bread machine bread and cookies). Went to a little grand prix car race for my niece and nephew. The coming week looks good – not too busy which is just the way i like it!

ironically enough i am due for my annual check up and i have to call to schedule it…i do not mind going to this appt but as you mentioned from a previous post i very much dislike the dentist office.
as fo the weekend…mine consisted of work as always however we did have a wedding on saturday to attend which was nice.
Since I had a baby, nothing about the annual check-up bothers me any more. And I do have to say I dislike the dentist more. This week I’ll be celebrating my birthday – 41 years old!!!
There is a bright side to those appointments. It’s the relief you feel when it’s over and don’t have to go again for a year.
We had a very nice weekend. Nothing was on the calendar, so we did some chores, went out to dinner, watched some t.v. It was very relaxing. I like stay-at-home time.
I took hubby to the airport on Saturday; he went back to OH to be with his parents. Mom is having the last surgery on Tuesday, so keep us all in your prayers, please!

I had a restful weekend…which was good. Lots of football, and a couple of movies, and plenty of family time!
Have to admit for my last apt with the “fun” dr we made a fun day out of it. Come to find out one of my best friends had her apt scheduled the same day within 30 minutes apart so after our dr apt we went out to eat and to a movie. I have an amazing dr so it’s not that bad to me. As far as the weekend goes I stayed in most of it b/c of being sick but did get out yesterday for pizza and ran to Bath and Body works for 2 new candles. (love that place..hehe)
It was a long weekend…and Scotts birthday is Friday…so we have to make his favorite brownies and get him a gift.
I hope the dr’s visit wasn’t too bad. I know how you “love” going. At least it’s over with by now!
This weekend was a special one for me! I’m at my solo beach retreat—my yearly getaway. It’s been 19 months since we were last here, and now that Des is almost weaned, and the weather looked beautiful this weekend, I decided at the last minute to just take off and go. I’m so glad I did! It’s been soooo nice.
There is a Fresh Market here, and I’ve been twice already & am going back tonight. Gotta get my fill of it before I leave! LOL! There’s also a Bass Pro Shop here, which makes me think of you guys since y’all (or is it just Tim?) like it. I went there for the first time, too; I went to buy some pepper spray.
Anyway…sorry such a long comment. I hope you have a better day tomorrow. 🙂
I did have a good weekend. I went to Mistletoe and watched a movie with a friend on Friday and then did stats for a football game and shopped on Saturday. Sunday I took a 2 hour nap….love! This week, I have my first residency interview. It’s on Wednesday but I do have tomorrow off to “prepare”…whatever that means!
I had my annual in September and discovered a trick to make that lovely exam not as uncomfortable…talk…it distracted me and worked like a gem. At least for me, that’s the key.
I do dislike the dentist more. Maybe because it’s a long exam? I don’t know.
This week we have a couple doctors appointments and that’s about it. I am not feeling great though so it seems like a long week already!
