Halloween night was fairly quiet in our house… how about yours? Beau, the wonder dog, did surprisingly well. He got really worked up, hearing the doorbell ring so much. He kept looking around for people to play with, after all – he heard the bell and their voices! (We are training him to stay in the kitchen and not in the parts of the house that are carpeted… it’s going semi-ok, he does pretty good MOST of the time!). I don’t think we had nearly as many kids as last year, maybe 20-25 or so. I have tons of candy left – anybody want some?!
I watched Dancing with the Stars, and man, that show is getting good! I really hate to see any of them go. I really like all of the dancers that are left, and they all did so well last night. I tried to call in and vote for Emmitt, but I never could get in, just got busy signals. I hope that’s a good sign!
Well, today is the day of the dreaded doctor visit. I dodge it as long as I can during the year, then finally give in and go in October, usually. Although this year I managed to push it to November 
I’m sure it will be fine, but I just hate and loathe every part of going. Hate needles and taking blood, hate having a mammogram and hate the rest of the exams too. Blech. I am always so relieved when it’s over and want to hear those words that everything is okay. I’ve had so much trouble through the years, and tests and doctors and specialists and drugs and surgery, that I’m always afraid they’ll find something else or new wrong with me.
So, here’s a Question of the Day – which do you like the least, the doctor or the dentist? If either! 🙂
OH definitely the dentist is the worst on my list! UGH I hate going to the dentist!!!
I don’t mind the doctor so much, unless there’s something I’m worried about (cancer related)…then I dread it and like you, am just praying it ends up being a good report.
Hey, I have an appointment this morning with my midwife, so I’ll be kind of doing some of the same things you will (fun, fun!).

Well, I pratically lived at the dentist as child, so I’m cool with them. I hate the doctor’s office though, especially THAT doctor’s visit.
Our evening was good. I’ll post some pictures when I get home tonight.

Same here, I don’t like going to the doctor and the dentist too. I try to postpone it whenever I can. But if I were to make a forced choice, I’d rather go to the doctor than to the dentist. I dread going to the dentist. I hate hearing the drilling sound of the dentist’s tools.
Hmmm….don’t know. Neither are fun but I like both my doctor and my dentist, so that helps. I agree that I LOVE watching Emmitt! Don’t know who I want to go. I didn’t see any of Joey’s dances last night but based on what I did see, I would say the girl should go because her outfit for the first dance was HORRIBLE! I don’t care if it was halloween!

I don’t remember the last time I went to the dentist. But I think I would hate that more. I don’t have many “routine” doctor visits.
Hope all goes well at the doctor’s today and he gives you a clean bill of health. Hate those mammograms – Ooouuuchh! I don’t mind the dentist. He gives me headphones and nice music that blocks the sound of the dirll. And the gas helps me ‘float’ through the whole thing.
Yikes that’s a hard question. I guess I’d say the dentist even though I love her dearly. Her FIL use to be my mom’s boss so when I found her and put 2 and 2 togehter on who she was I enjoy visting, just not the yucky work. And even though I don’t like that “other” doctor must say I really love her too. I think she’s one of the best and is very personal. Don’t like going to the doctor but must say I’m lucky I like both of them on a personal note.
I pray everything goes well with you.. I Hate going to the dr. now too since my whole surgery ordeal…. I used to not really mind it besides the wait. As I get older I hate it worse..lol

Oh, the dentist is the absolute worst for me! I go to the doctor quite a lot because I have several on-going health problems, so that’s old hat as far as I’m concerned. But the DENTIST…the dentist puts the fear of God in me like nothing else! *g* I won’t tell you how long it’s been since i’ve seen a dentist, less I embarrass myself. 😉
a few things:
do not feel bad we had about 12 if that for trick or treaters! we actually left the candy on the stoop with a nice note to take some b/c we both went out seeing it was Catherine’s first trick or treating experience seeing she has been too young the past 2 years prior and I thought we would come back to an empty bowl instead a very full bowl of candy.
secondly: i hate the “female” doctor completely unless it is for prenatal visits and i hate the dentist visits only when what my step brothers and i refer to as “the evil gum killer” cleans our teeth, she is the hygenist that helps out and noone else wants to see her b/c of the pain she causes so my step mother (who is the office manager) makes us go to her b/c the actual dentist is always booked. i do like going to the dentist office b/c it means i get to visit with my step mom
