Who was the last person you hugged?
My darling husband, of course!

Share a beauty or grooming trick or tip with us.
Hah! Me, beauty tips?! You must have me confused with someone else! Ok, here’s one thing. I’ve heard for a while about the make up like Bare Essentials, the “mineral powder” and “powder veil” type makeups. Those kinds of things aren’t in my budget. But last week when my sister and I were at Walmart, we found that most of the brands there are coming out with these mineral based makeup. I think I saw them in Cover Girl, Maybelline, Revlon, L’Oreal, Almay, Neutrogena, etc. I bought some of the powder foundation and I really like it. It’s going to be great to wear in the summer, much lighter and doesn’t feel so cakey and heavy as liquid foundation.

Salad
What does the color yellow make you think of?
Happy things – daffodils, spring, Easter chickadees. My kitchen! A new color of Fiestaware dishes I am hoping to get. Two cute blouses I just bought (one is yellow and white and the other is black, yellow and white, cute cute cute!)

Main Course
If you were to make your living as a photographer, what subject would your pictures revolve around?
Natural things like flowers, birds. Red Barns. Old churches. Stained glass windows. Hmmm, having a hard time picking one!

Dessert
What was the longest book you ever read?
It feels like the last one I just read, the first book in the Bourne series by Robert Ludlum (paperback, tiny print, 535 pages). I don’t know, maybe Gone With the Wind was longer. I don’t like long books. I’ve found that not only am I a mood reader, but I have a fairly short attention span where books are concerned. 😀

I love the mineral makeup thing. works well and covers like a dream.

    TGIF!

  2. Desert Songbird Said,

I’m a mood reader too. I like quick, easy books. The only “thick” books I’ve read lately are the Harry Potter books.

Oh, and AVON sells some natural mineral make up too, and the price is pretty reasonable. I know, ’cause I sell it!

  3. jenny a Said,

The more I read your blog, the more I think we’re just alike.

    Our appetizers were the same.

I am at that same point in makeup as you. I am waiting until payday Monday to buy my first minerals based make-up (and maybe I should check out my Avon friend, too).

You and I almost said the same things on that salad! My parents did the mix-match Fiesta ware, and have soft colors of yellow, light blue, white, turquoise, and pink. It’s fun!

I picked children for my Main Course, though.

And I thought Gone With the Wind was one of my longest, too. In fact, I was thinking about re-reading it after catching part of the movie on TV. The book was better, if I remember right. I read through it one time I was very sick in college.

    Anyway, Have a good weekend!!

  4. mamichelle Said,

On the mineral makeup, do you have a Walgreen’s nearby? They had it as a free after rebate two months in a row. Maybe they’ll have it again. It’s great stuff!

    Happy Friday, Stacy!

  5. Cam Said,

    Enjoyed your answers!

  6. Autumn Said,

My kitchen’s yellow, too! It’s great in the morning.
    Ooohh…stained glass windows! Fantastic!
    Happy Friday! 🙂

  7. Sonya Said,

I think Gone With the Wind is the longest book I’ve read.

I’d also take pictures of nature, structures, and churches.

  8. Gail Said,

How about something simple for a beauty tip, like always always wearing moisturizer and sunscreen.
I can’t remember if Les Mis is longer than Gone with the Wind, or what the longest book I’ve read is!

  9. Kim Said,

Enjoyed your feast! I will have to check out that foundation you talked about. I haven’t heard of it before but I am in the mood for light! I never thought of what type of reader I am, but found myself agreeing with you–I am a *mood* reader and typically don’t like loooonnnngggg books. Maybe Gone With the Wind is the longest I have read also. I am also finding myself much pickier over the size of the print, the older I get! yikes, but my eyes are getting old!
    Happy Weekend!
    *smiles*

  10. Maria Said,

Enjoyed reading your answers. I don’t usually read long books, I prefer that sense of accomplishment by reading more books…not more pages.
