Feast One Hundred & Sixty Nine
November 16, 2007

Appetizer
What was your first “real job?
I got a job when I was about 13, working as a receptionist at a photography studio. I filed stuff, made appointments, showed people into the photography rooms (this guy mostly did people portraits and school portraits). I was ecstatic to be making “my own” money at that age!

Soup
Where would you go if you wanted to spark your creativity?
I’m not very creative, but I do love to take photographs. So anywhere that is very picturesque, with lots of interesting things to snap, good colors, fun stuff.

Salad
Complete this sentence: I am embarrassed when…
I am embarrassed when I trip and fall or do something klutzy and someone sees me being clumsy.

Main Course
What values did your parents instill in you?
My parents instilled a lot of wonderful things in me – the value of a good education, that you should work hard, take care of the things you have, and be frugal. I try to be a good steward of all that I have been blessed with.

Dessert
Name 3 fads from your teenage years.
Typical 80’s stuff -big hair, lovely clothes, big shoulder pads, etc 😀

  1. Dawn Said,

I think the key to the 80s was big big big! LOL!

  2. Susanne Said,

I love taking photos too! Great things your parents put into you.

  3. Laura Said,

13, wow! That sounds like a good job, too.

  4. SnoopMurph Said,

I am with you – I love photography and taking pictures. I posted my feast and it also includes several 80’s fads-I could not keep them to just three! How sad is that?!?!

  5. Bev Said,

One man’s clumsy is another man’s grace. I’ve seen some awfully graceful moves from people trying to recover from tripping followed by absolute looks of amazement at it. It also helps not to look like you’ve just done something klutzy, too. Just brush yourself off, throw your hair over your shoulder, and smile seductively before walking away. 😉

  6. Heidi Said,

Those poofy shoulders were pretty funny!

  7. mamichelle Said,

I get embarrassed when I’m klutzy too.

    Oh, that big hair! LOL

Nice first job, Stacy! Have a great weekend.

  8. jen Said,

I’am very clumsy with stairs too.

  9. annie Said,

    Enjoyed your feast!
Your parents instilled some great values to live by. They sound like my parents.
I can tell your were very proud of your first job.

    Happy feasting!

  13. theresa Said,

My parents were very frugal too, something I am today, which I thinks helped me out tremedously in life- compared to some other people who seem to spend too much on frivolous stuff, with money they don’t have.

  14. Sonya Said,

I love this new theme! I feel all Christmasy! I can so relate to the 80s fads! I had big hair and shoulder pads were all the rage! LOL!

  15. Gail Said,

Wow 13, don’t think I knew this one!
Good thing the last time I fell it was during a total blackout and no one could see how uncoordinated I was…it wasn’t pretty but hey, I couldn’t see it either!
