Menu Plan Monday

Menu Planning Monday

We did good last week, sticking to the menu plan, for every day but Friday. We ended up eating at home, but not what I had planned. Tim wasn’t feeling well, so we just had some souped up ramen noodles. We did eat out a fair amount over the weekend though. Seems like we end up doing that almost every weekend! Oh, and the one new recipe I tried last week worked pretty well. We both liked it. Didn’t love it but we did like it 🙂

Thanks to Laura over at OrgJunkie for organizing and hosting this each week! Go check out her blog and you’ll find tons more recipes and menu plans.

Sunday – we had Chinese take-out (sesame chicken for Tim, shrimp egg foo yung for me)

Monday Chicken Soup with Barley & Mushrooms, homemade bread

Tuesday – Grilled Chicken Sausage Wraps, baked sweet potatoes

Wednesday – light night before Tim weighs in – Tomato Soup and Grilled Cheese

Thursday – Waffles, turkey bacon or sausage

Friday – Date Night, probably eat out

Saturday/Sunday – TBD

  1. Char Said,

We had Chinese take out last night too and now I have a ton of white rice to use up. Looks like fried rice later in the week! And we love breakfast for dinner – I’ll have to bring that one back next week.

  2. Bev Said,

Ooh. Shrimp Egg Fo Yung. I love that. Now you’ve made me hungry for it. I might have to rework my menu. 😉

  3. Dawn Said,

    Now I *really* want waffles.

  4. theresa Said,

Good job on last week-Weekends are tough, I think that since I was so good during the week I get to celebrate and end up defeating my weeks hard work. The grilled chicken sausage wraps sound great! Have a good week!

  5. Kim Said,

I haven’t had Chinese in ages. LOVE it fresh or leftover!!

  7. Gail Said,

Grilled chicken sausage wraps, yum! Is that the brand you told me about, Bistro something maybe? Saw it in Gwood store this afternoon, not sure my store has them but will check if that’s the brand.

  8. Eden Said,

Yummy! Grilled chicken sausage sounds yummy!

  9. Sonya Said,

I’d love to have some Chinese take out! Two wisdom teeth were cut out last week and I still have to eat mushy stuff! It’s killing me. I just want some eggrolls, some pizza, some hamburger, some real food! The tomato soup and grilled cheese sounds good!
