Menu Plan Monday

Menu Planning Monday

We’ve been eating out a lot over the last several days. Time to buckle back down and cook us some homemade meals. Don’t get me wrong, I love eating out and picking up food. But, boy oh boy, I eat a lot more that way! 🙂

As always, thanks to Laura at OrgJunkie for organizing and hosting this each week! Go check out her blog and you’ll find tons more recipes and menu plans.

Sunday – we had leftover Chinese, plus potstickers from our freezer (big box at Sam’s, these things are really very good!). Tim had leftover Spicy Chicken in Garlic Sauce and I had leftover shrimp with broccoli

Monday Panko Chicken Strips, smashed potatoes, veggie

Tuesday – Chili

Wednesday – Light Night before Tim weighs in – eggs, oatmeal, toast

Thursday – new recipe for Crockpot Pork Chops with Apples, veggie (if it turns out good, I’ll post the recipe later)

Friday – Date Night or if we stay in – Shrimp Fried Rice, potstickers, egg rolls

Sat/Sun – TBD

    Shrimp Fried RIce…yum!

  4. Susanne Said,

Panko chicken strips. What makes the bread crumbs Japenese? A certain spice? Your menu sounds good. I really need to learn how to cook potstickers.

  5. mamichelle Said,

The pork chop recipe sounds delish!

  6. jen Said,

Hey….I’m throwing a Tailgate Party for hubby in November…his birthday. Do you have any ideas for me? It’s Football based…..the invites say Are you ready for some Football? ANd all the info…its in the evening and thought we would grill hot dogs, wings, and brats…….maybe some apple cider and marshmellows…looking for someone to make chocolate chip cookies with footballs in icing on them. They are easier for a dessert. Can you think of anything else food wise and decor wise?
Thanks I know how much you like football.

  7. Gail Said,

I still have never found Panko but will have to check that recipe out……don’t think I’ve ever had potstickers before either! But the eating out sounds fun, shrimp fried rice sounds good too!

  8. Bev Said,

You’re so lucky. I’ve looked in every store I’ve been in for Panko bread crumbs. Now you’ve got me hungry for Asian. I’m going to have to hunt down that recipe I have for pot stickers. I love those things.

  9. theresa Said,

yes eating out is fun but it does put on the pounds. A new recipe , good for you!
I am only 3 weeks in to my menu planning and am realizing how hard it is to be creative. Have a great week

This all sounds yummy. Hubby does most of our cooking since he retired this summer. I do like to cook though. I’ve always enjoyed your menus. Thanks for posting them!

  11. sherry Said,

What does Panko taste like? I’ve seen it used on the Food Network and wondered! It looks good!

Have a blessed week my friend!
