Today’s Question of the Day is a nosy one! What’s under your bed?
I have actually been working on this through the last couple of years. Our closets are a bit cluttered, and I do try to “hide” some stuff up under the bed. I’m ashamed to say that the biggest thing under our beds are the mountains of dust bunnies. I looked up under our master bed a few weeks ago and was so surprised to see literally inches of dust piled up. I guess I should clean up under there occasionally, but it’s just so hard to get to, and I don’t move beds. 🙄 Anyway, we have one of our guest bedrooms as the office, so we only have two beds currently. I use the space under the guest room bed for storage. I have one of those big Ziploc “big bags” under there (this is a recent project, I blogged about it here) and I have all of our old annuals from high school and college. I also have some spare photo boxes under that bed, as well as some jigsaw puzzles we have and have not worked. Under our master bed, I have one of those Rubbermaid or Sterlite under-bed storage boxes that holds memorabilia from my childhood. I also have some stuff from past vacations (I need to go through this stuff, throw some out and organize it). The other thing up under our bed are our big stadium seats. We don’t seem to have a good place to store them, and one time my husband shoved them up under our bed, and they’ve been there ever since!
So, how about you? What’s under your beds? Out of season clothes, books, memorabilia, toys, books, or you have no idea? Please tell me that I’m not the only one with piles of dust bunnies! 🙂 Leave me a comment – Inquiring minds want to know!
Have a great day!
Well there are the dust bunnies, actually more like tumbleweeds of cat hair. (Just in case your wondering I do vacuum-don’t know how something covered by a bed can get so dirty!)Keeping them company is camping air matress(like the stadium seat no where to keep this since it is reccomended to lay flat when storing), and my husbands slippers.
Have a nice day.
My bed is pretty low, it’s from ikea and it’s like a platform type bed so not much fits under it. I have my coffee table under there though. It is taken apart. I didn’t want to use it anymore and it was quicker than a trip to the attic! 🙂
I have lots of dust bunnies and lots of Sterilite storage boxes that contain old Halloween costumes, Christmas presents, old VHS homemade tapes, and other junk that I’ve forgotten. Sigh. I’m bad.
That is a good one! Under my bed is our leaf to the dining room table….its the safest place in the house when you have an almost 2 year old……
Thank you so much for your info on football parties……good ideas.
Dust bunnies here too. Though not too bad as I vacuumed under there last week. Now under Shelby’s bed is a different story. I know there’s a glass tabletop that I put there. Probably half of her clothes are there, along with empty water bottles, soda cans, assorted paper products, and I don’t want to know what else. And she and I just cleaned under there last week!
Good QOTD!
A few weeks ago, there was a disassembled crib & crib mattress under there. 🙂 Now, the crib is out and being used again, so the only things left are a suitcase and a lockbox. Not too many dust bunnies because I vacuumed under there recently when I was on my cleaning spree.
I don’t even want to look under my bed to see what’s under it. 😉 I do know that there is a small table my husband brought back from Korea and two 3-D puzzles that I’ve never put together. Other than that, it’s anybodies guess. 😉
Uhhhh I don’t know, I’m scared to look under there???? LOL
Actually, I’m kidding, since we just moved, I know for a fact that there is NOTHING but dust under there, I’m quite proud of myself for keeping it clean 🙂
You know, I’m not entirely sure what’s under there…it’s been a long time since I looked, which ought to tell you that I have a passel of dust bunnies. 😉 But, I do know there are some dresser drawers from an old, unused dresser under there — Pumpkin likes to get in them and sleep when my brother’s beast dog is sleeping over.
Monsters. That’s why I’m too scared to get up at night to go potty. Makes for a really long night!
Our bed is solid wood and is way too heavy for either of us to move routinely. I currently keep my gift wrapping supplies under our bed in a storage box. I just have no where else to keep them.
Oh fun one! There’s lots of dust I’m sure under my bed and let me go see what else……I thought the leaves to my dining room table were under the bed but they weren’t there, which must mean that they’re in the table! That tells you how often I look at that table. 🙂
But there were 2 Beth Moore bible study books that I’m through with under the bed, didn’t know they were there so now I need to park them somewhere else……oh and there was plenty of dust I wish I hadn’t seen. 🙂
We have dust bunnies and a fire proof box. Who knows what’s in the box, but if we ever have a fire, whatever is in that box will make it! 🙂
Sorry, my answer’s just so pathetically boring…out-of-season clothes.
Out of season clothes – two boxes. I hate it. :\
I think there’s a few boxes of old books from school that I didn’t have anywhere else to put them and they fit under the bed…other than that I am to scared to look! Guess it’s nothing important 🙂
There’s nothing under our bed. 😀 The hubs is quite particular about putting things underneath it, anyway I think it’s better this way since I don’t have to clear anything while cleaning. 😛
I actually don’t have anything under the bed right now! AND I vacuumed under it last week since we painted the walls. Let’s hope it stays that way.
I had to go look because I’m sure there is stuff there I don’t even know about. My sewing box, my dog (he likes to sleep there) my slippers.
Believe it or not…nothing except one small fire safe! Moving is good for making you clean out the junk from under the bed!
We have nothing under our beds. I always forget about that being a good storage place. Thanks for the reminder…
Two rubbermaid containers of out-of-season clothes and a box with a fire escape ladder which we’ve never tried. I’m too scared. So I hope if there’s a fire, the firetruck with the ladder will get here right away. For the record, I wish there was Nothing under our bed. But our closets are so small, it’s that or get rid of more clothes!
You are NOT the only one! LOL
I have lots of dust bunnies, poster boards, underbed storage container with little gift items – just in case and that’s about it.
There’s nothing under the spare bedroom and my son’s may have a stray sock or two but that’s it. My mom’s has underbed storage with ribbons and gift bags and God knows what else!
As usual, you are waaay too funny! So good to know dust bunnies have relatives in the mid-west! They reproduce as fast as their furry cousins. Besides the dbs, I have 6 plastic containers to hold my off-season clothes. Right now 2 of them are empty b/c I don’t have a lot of summer clothes. I used to put stuff in suitcases and this is just so much easier.
Oh and sometimes there’s a very bad little doggie boy under my bed in search of a ball that rolled under there when he knows darn well he ain’t allowed in the bedroom with toys!!! Bad mom or dad forgot to shut the door! (sounds mean but he sucks on them and makes a big wet spot on the carpet or bed – yuck when you step on slimy spot in your bare feet!!!
lol, great question. Olyvia’s bed has only a yard stick under to rescue her pacifier. lol Steve’s and my bed has a small box of tools and a jump rope under it.
We still have carpet in the bedrooms (UGH) so no dust bunnies. However, I have two of those Sterlite things on wheels under there. Currently, one of them holds scrapbooking stuff ( I need to clean it out) and the other holds homeschooling manipulatives (definitely need to clean it out). In our spare bedroom, I’ve got a few Rubbermaid containers that hold my fabric. The kids have storage containers under their bed that holds seasonal clothes.
