Menu Plan Monday

Menu Planning Monday

I didn’t get to make a menu last week, as we were out of town on vacation for the better part of the week. I’m looking forward to trying to get back on track, and on a schedule this week. I work a lot better with a plan!

Nothing special this week on my menu, but there are tons of others posted over at Laura‘s blog, OrgJunkie. Go check them out! Thanks to Laura for hosting this every week.

Sunday – Eggs, deer sausage, homemade biscuits, grits

Monday – Spaghetti and meatballs, broccoli, salad

Tuesday – Grilled Chicken (Tim)/Grilled Salmon (Stacy), squash, smashed potatoes

Wednesday – RR’s Quick Chicken Noodle Soup, salad (Light Night before Tim weighs in)

Thursday – Turkey Cutlets, zucchini, rice or potatoes

Friday – Date Night or TBD

Saturday & Sunday – TBD

  5. Heidi Said,

I just had broccoli salad at a pot luck yesterday. it is simply delicious and I never tire of it.

  6. Carrie Said,

Ya know, I always find it interesting to see what people eat with their spaghetti, for some reason. That would be a good question of the day, LOL … what do you eat with spaghetti. The reason is, growing up, we ALWAYS had green beans with spaghetti. Now, as an adult, I see alot of people either have salad or broccoli. I would never think to eat broccoli with spaghetti … I just fix a salad now because even the green beans don’t sound right, LOL. Maybe I’m just over-analyzing this whole thing, LOL. Your menu sounds good, by the way!

  7. Carrie Said,

And look, Heidi thinks you;re having Broccoli Salad with your Spaghetti. Now that’s funny! LOL!

  8. Sherry Said,

I like Carrie’s comment about the spaghetti and green veggie. We always just ate salad and sometimes garlic bread with our spaghetti — however, I do LOVE broccoli with spaghetti! After my first was born (she’ll be 11 in 3 weeks!) the only thing I had time to eat was frozen dinners. I found one I loved which had spaghetti w/ a side of broccoli. Ever since then, I think they go great together!

  10. Sparky Duck Said,

I love the sound of everything but DEER SAUSAGE.

Can you believe I would even have a meal plan for the week this week??

  11. Coach J Said,

    sounds good!

  12. Shayna Said,

I have to agree about the deer sausage! I haven’t had a nice plate of spaghetti in a while, its so simple, but so good!! We like ours with salad and usually french bread. I recently got a bread machine so I like to make ours now. Its a nice touch to have HOMEMADE bread!!! I may have to make some now that I have talked about it….

  13. kaliblue Said,

  16. Jennifer Said,

It all sounds yum! I had my menu all planned out, but my mom ordered way too much pizza at lunch today so we had leftover pizza for dinner tonight. I can’t say I complained much…it was nice not having to do anything! 🙂

  17. Kara Said,

I am a friend of Debi’s and just thought I’d stop by to say hi! I am new to blogging and am loving this Menu Planning Monday because I am getting so many great ideas! I grew up down south and seeing grits on your menu made me wonder why I haven’t fixed any in a couple of months! Gotta get those back on my menu – thanks for the reminder!
