Overboard

I’ve been known to go overboard on lots of things. It’s the “hoarding” or packrat mentality that I possess. Tim often jokes that if there is an empty space, I will fill it. I have enough toilet paper, paper towels, toothpaste and the like stashed around here for us for months on end. He got really worried when we got the new refrigerator, thinking I would go hog wild and go out and buy tons of food — just to fill it up 🙂 Silly boy. And oh, he says we should never move into a house with a walk-in pantry. He says I will be at Sam’s Club every week, buying stuff we can’t possibly eat in a lifetime.

Anyway, this mentality reared its ugly head, just a little, yesterday when I was grocery shopping. I stopped by the milk (ack, it’s up to 3.57 for a gallon of store brand skim milk, and going up every week, it seems), and I also needed to grab a creamer. Here’s what is residing in my refrigerator now:

3 flavors of Coffee Creamer

I had blogged about seeing this Blueberry Cobbler flavor earlier and swore up and down I wouldn’t want to try it. It’s the thought of it being blue, I think. But then Sparky Duck emailed me and told me he had tried it and he really liked it, so I thought I would give it a try. I also spied another “limited edition” flavor in the International Delights brand, White Chocolate Raspberry. So, I couldn’t, you know, just let it sit there! There was only one there, so I had to get it 🙂

Yes, the first step is admitting you have a problem…

  1. Cam Said,

LOL! Yep, you’re going to fill that refrigerator right up! 🙂
White choc. raspberry??? I am seriously wishing I liked coffee, because that and some of the other flavors you’ve shown look so incredibly good!
Is the boring one in the middle Tim’s creamer? Heehee…

  2. Susie Said,

Ooohh…I’ve gotta get some of that White Chocolate Raspberry creamer! It sounds lovely – do you like it? Yum!

  3. Gail Said,

Well, I’ve admitted I have the same problem but so far haven’t gotten past that point yet! I wanted to try the white chocolate raspberry but haven’t gotten it yet….still trying to limit sugar around here!

  4. JennaG Said,

    A girl’s got to have choices–I mean, really…

  5. Carrie Said,

LOL!! Oh yes! You are an addict! Nothing wrong with that! Hey, your addictions could be to worse things, ya know!

  6. Stacy Said,

    Silly girl! 🙂

I don’t drink coffee, so it won’t affect my purchases, but you are going to let us know how they taste? Right?

  7. Heidi Said,

Dunkin Donuts had a blueberry flavor last summer which I wouldn’t have tried, but my friend recommended it. I had it in iced coffee and it was delicious. I recommend iced.

  8. Southern Girl Said,

The Blueberry Cobbler creamer is actually BLUE?! If so, then I may have to have it!

  9. Shawna Said,

Funny! I’m a hoarder, too. I got it honest from my dad. I have a hard time throwing anything, and I mean anything, away. That’s one reason why I have stacks of paper everywhere. You never now what you might need, and it might even be lifesaving:) You just never know!! Hehehe!

  10. Debi Said,

Geez–your milk is expensive! Our store brand skim is still only $1.89 a gallon. (Thankfully, as we go through 4 gallons a week!) I keep wishing we could afford organic, but that’s $5.99 a gallon…and $24 a week for milk just isn’t doable!

  11. Elizabeth Said,

How funny! I also have a hoarder mentality, but over the past six months I’ve been trying to delutter my life and house. Selling everything we can and giving away what we can’t …it’s SOOO nice to look around and everything looks neat and orderly. I don’t feel as wasteful and the house doesn’t get messy as quickly as it did, so I’m much less stressed out.

Of course…I got rid of MAYBE 1/2% of my books. HaHa. We have an office-ful and I just can’t seem to part with any of them.

  12. trista Said,

Okay, so tell me how they taste? I like the sound of the Choc Raspberry, but I still cannot put my head around the blueberry.
