Menu Plan Monday

Menu Planning Monday

I posted last week that I was feeling rather uninspired, and this week is much the same. I really *want* to be trying some new recipes. But, for whatever reason, I don’t seem to work them into my menu. I keep going back to those recipes that are “tried and true” for me. As always, thanks to Laura over at OrgJunkie for hosting this every week. Be sure to stop on over and check everyone’s menu – there are so many people participating, you are sure to find so many wonderful recipes and menu ideas.

Monday Crockpot Four Beans and Sausage, cornbread muffins NOTE: This was on last week’s menu, but we had ginger ale waffles and turkey bacon (breakfast for supper), instead.

Tuesday Crockpot Chicken and Veggies over biscuits

Wednesday – Egg McMuffins, oatmeal (Light Night before Tim weighs in with his weight-loss group at work)

Thursday Shanna’s Cheesy Chicken & Tortellini, salad, maybe bread

Friday – Taco Salad

Saturday – Date Night or Pizza

  1. Gail Said,

I’m still feeling very uninspired too…..maybe we are just plain tired of cooking! For the last couple of weeks I go to my “to try” pile that needs weeding through, look through it and basically don’t pick anything from it! So maybe I need to throw most of those out and start over? Maybe I need to try breakfast foods at night as something different?
Or we could go on a cooking strike for a week and see if that helps!

You know from us talking that I made the tortellini for my crew the other night, we all love it and the kids gobbled up the leftovers too.

  2. annie Said,

I have been trying a lot of new recipes, I just plug them into our menu and go for it. Some are great, some are not.. but at least I know :o).
You should just try one a week, maybe pick your easiest day and make it your “try something new” day!
    Your menu looks great!
    Blessings~

well, monday’s dinner still sounds great, one week later or not

  5. Shayna Said,

My menu this week is not creative at all! I know how it goes sometimes. Hope you have a good week, the Cheesy Tortellini sounds yum! I may have to try that sometime.

  6. Susie Said,

I love breakfast for supper sometimes, there’s just something comforting about it. 🙂

  7. Sherry Said,

You may feel uninspired, but I got two new recipes from your list this week! The four beans and sausage and the tortellini. Yum o!

I shouldn’t be looking at all these menus when I’m hungry! LOL

Hugs and have a great week!

    Sherry

  8. Rona Said,

If it works..it works. You’re saving money and serving healthy recipes to your family. Kudos!

  9. Dianne Said,

Hmm, great looking menu. I’m on vacation this week so you’d think Mike would get a good meal. I don’t know though – I’m painting, so pizza seems easier! I am running to check out those 2 crockpot recipes you listed though!

  10. Judi Said,

Annie gave good advice. I have been trying lots of new stuff. I kind of enjoy it. It makes me feel like my days aren’t so routine in a way.

  11. Carrie Said,

    Howdy! :o)

For the recipes I had linked, I have made a few of them before and we enjoyed them. The Ham and Swiss Casserole is a new one. I’m making it tomorrow for dinner and I’ll post a review of it for ya, if you would like. That way, if it was totally nasty, LOL, it’ll save ya! :o)

  12. JennaG Said,

Looks like your crockpot is getting a workout in the beginning of the week! Everything sounds really delicious! Hope your week is wonderful!

  13. zoe Said,

I figure there’s time for inspirational menus next week when the kids are back at school!

  14. Shawna Said,

Another quick and easy crockpot recipe!! I may have to still that one, too. I’m becoming addicted to crockpotting!!
