It’s that time of the week again! Time to get things ordered for the week, and also time to hop on over to Laura‘s and check out all of the yummy menus that everyone is sharing.
Here’s the basic plan for our week…. lots and lots of chicken!
Sunday– We had Crispy Ginger Ale Waffles for breakfast. Tim said these are the best waffles he’s ever had! Dinner – leftover spaghetti
Monday – Grilled chicken wraps with avocado, Parmesan oven fries, veggie or salad
Tuesday – Gail’s Savory Chicken Breasts, smashed potatoes, sauteed zucchini
Wednesday – Grilled Chicken Salad (or tomato soup)
Thursday – Golden Potato Soup, homemade sourdough bread
Friday – Sloppy Joes (didn’t get to this last week) or Date Night
Saturday – Pizza or Date Night
You must have bought avocados when we were in the store together the other day! I bought 2 but didn’t remember that you had gotten some…..too bad I can’t eat at your house tonight!
Sunday night – white lightning chili
Monday night – Chicken caccatore
Tuesday – leftovers
Wednesday – Loki’s cooking and I forget what he’s making
Thursday – free night
Friday/Saturday – We’ll be in WV with my parents
my menu has lots & lots of chicken as well…
date night sounds good!
yum! Savory chicken breasts sound great!
Hope you had a good weekend!
I’m going to try the waffles, sound delicious.
Have a great week!

the potatoe soup sounds sooo good 🙂
Sounds like you have a yummy week planned! Those waffles sounds so scrumbtious! And easy is always good…the hardest part of that recipe is digging out the waffle iron. Can’t wait to try them!!!
That all sounds great. I might have to try the ginger ale waffles sometime. What an interesting idea. We love pancakes and waffles around here.
What recipe (starter, etc) do you use for your sourdough bread? My husband has been experimenting with some and we would take suggestions….
Happy Monday!
Heidi
Sounds like a good week to eat with you!~ I need to do sloppy joes soon.
Everything sounds super good! Ginger ale waffles……maybe someday!

YUM! Waffles sound good, and me without a waffle iron, I may need to remedy that! Your menu sounds great!
I can’t believe you mentioned these awesome waffles and then didn’t post hide nor hair of a recipe! For shame! :vD
I’m flying by the seat of my pants this week…or atleast for a couple days. Your menu sounds great though! Yummo!!!
I have to try the chicken recipe. It sounds so yummy!
Everything sounds so good. I notice that your side dishes are really well thought out too. I could stand to put a little more thought into that part of the meal. I seem to be doing more box rices and things like that and it is getting old.
I like Sloppy Joe’s but I’m over the whole Manwich thing. I think I’m going to try something from scratch and your recipe sounds good.
Oh and btw, I made the Thai Chicken Slowcooker recipe and it got mixed reviews. I really loved it, but the kids didn’t care for it. Hubby was on the fence. So it might be something I could just make for us. It was so easy and yummy. I definitely want to make it again. Thanks for sharing.
I’m coming to live with you!!
