Beau started some new food today… hopefully, it will help alleviate some of his itching, ear infections, etc. Read all about it and see the picture of what he’s eating now, over at my photoblog. 🙂

He’a beautiful! Reminds me a little of my brother’s yellow lab Maggie. I’ll have to post a picture of her later tonight — let’s just say I don’t think she’s going to take well to the baby. 😉

Our Maggie has terrible food allergies, along with a gazillion other allergies. Teddy also has food problems. The foods we’re sure they can’t eat are wheat, beef, chicken, rice, and tomatoes – and probably others. The only food I found for them is from the vet called ZD-Ultra (either Hills or Science Diet). It’s expensive as all get-out, but they can eat it. Our vet said that most allergies are to proteins, and this food has the protein in such a small, microscopic size that the body doesn’t recognize it as protein and therefore, no allergic reaction. We feed them the dry food plus a can of green beans or peas, and wet the food with the veggie juice. Plus they can only have Paul Newman dog treats (peanut butter or veggie) – no wheat in them. They usually get carrots for treats and love them.
