OK, in an effort to not talk about food or my new dog, I thought I’d ask another mundane question for today. I was cleaning up in the bathroom and got to thinking about how I store my makeup. Right now, I just have it in a travel bag shoved in one of our bathroom drawers. I guess I got into the habit of doing that years ago, when we traveled more and were often gone on the weekends. It seemed easier to keep it packed up so I could just grab it and go.
So the Question of the Day is – how do you store your make-up? Is it in the bathroom? In a drawer, cabinet, out on the counter? What kind of container(s) do you use to hold things in? Do you keep a separate travel size bag of things ready to go, or do you just pack up your make-up when you leave to go somewhere?

oh you’re going to love this LOL! i have the make up i use every day in a travel bag in the bathroom drawer & then the stuff that i use on a less regular basis, i keep in a big ziploc baggie in the back of the drawer. =P
I have a longaberger basket oon my dresser with a plastic 3-way divider in it. My not-so-often used stuff is in a travel bag in the dresser drawer. I do my hair & makeup in there while husband is in the bathroom getting ready.
The organizer/planner in you is going to recoil when I tell you that my makeup is, quite simply, everywhere. I keep my most important items in my purse, but I have other “junk” in my bathroom (in a drawer), in my bedroom (in my vanity), and even here in my computer room (in a basket). There’s no rhyme or reason to it, and I probably need to throw most of it out.

I have a big basket on my bathroom counter (holds bottles and stuff). In there I have a little makeup bag with all of the makeup I use most often.
The makeup I use less often stays under the bathroom counter in various other makeup bags. Honestly, most of the time my “full” makeup selection travels with me (I use it most when I’m out of town) so it’s easier to just grab and go. 😉
I need to clean out my make up. But it’s kept in the bathroom in the closet.
well………and you know how much make up I use. My one I use is on a glass / mirror tray in the bathroom I use, and the rest is well…….in a drawer maybe.
I do keep a travel bag packed with most essentials which makes it quicker when I travel

What I use everyday is in the bathroom drawer. Other things are stored under the sink in little drawers. One for eye makeup, one for lipstick/lipgloss, one for blush, etc., etc. I don’t travel ofter, so I don’t keep travel size anything.
I love this question Stacy! I just re-organized and thru out the old make up and bought a new bag for my make up. I got a “train case” that goes under my sink in my bathroom for my everyday need makeup. The extra stuff and perfumes are in the linen closet in a plastic basket.
Mine is in a bathroom drawer, in 2 little organizer type baskets in the drawer. I do keep travel size things ready to go, like shampoo, but not makeup. I would love to have extras of all makeup packed in a travel bag ready to go……maybe I should keep it in a bag now but it is harder to dig in my bag than the drawer to get it out each morning!
I don’t have any make-up.
The last time I wore make-up was when I was 18. (No, I wasn’t a freak, I was in a play in college.)
I keep mine in our bedroom, on the dresser right in front of the mirror. I have a clear plastic organizer with lots of various sized slots and compartments, that I store it all in.
When I travel, I have a specific bag that I put all my makeup in. It’s canvas and washes easily in the machine. I just throw all my makeup in the bag and pack the bag in my suitcase.
Great question. I am semi organized, thanks to my handy man husband. In the top drawer in our bathroom, Alan has created built in dividers that fit makeup and some other every day odds and ends. It is great. I do keep an empty travel bag under the counter, and grab what I need and put it in the bag if I am in need of carrying makeup with me. I have been very bad about forgetting to bring an important item of makeup on more than one occasion. I wish I could keep duplicates of makeup, but it is just not sensible.
