Playoffs

I was so looking forward to the games this weekend, and so far, I have not been very pleased. Well, I wasn’t picking anyone in the Seattle game, but I was glad they won. Same for the Patriots/Broncos, although I was pulling for the Broncos (Tatum Bell helped me out a lot in my fantasy league). I thought it was about time that the Patriots didn’t go to a Super Bowl, and mostly, I wanted Peyton and my beloved Colts to have a chance to go and win. WELL. That fervent wish was just dashed. It was tight there at the end, and after I had given up, they got the ball back and had a chance to tie it up and go into overtime and then Vanderjagt missed that kick. I’m beyond despondent.

Off to watch “da Bears” as Suzie calls them, and I guess root for them. Tim, I think, would rather the Panthers win. I will have to watch for Suzie, since she’s at that game. I’m sure they will put the camera on her and she’ll wave to us

Tim, as expected, is now outside hitting golf balls. Again.

Looking forward to tonight – Tim is going to go pick us up some Chinese food (my favorite!) and we’re going to watch the 2 hour premiere of “24”. Can’t wait! Maybe that will make me feel better after watching my Colts lose.

  1. Gail Said,

Jeremy turned this game on when it was about over and we saw that they got the ball and had a chance to win, Jeremy commented that it would probably for sure be a tie game! and then they would go into overtime………..we were also SHOCKED that he missed that field goal, I think they said he like never misses them. I knew you would be upset.

  2. Stace Said,

Yes, and after watching the whole game and nearly giving up, they got the ball back and then went down the field to within field goal range. I was jumping up and down and hollering loud enough for you guys to probably hear me in N.C. And I thought, Vanderjagt never misses, he won’t miss this pressure kick. They showed a stat on the screen – he did not miss a SINGLE field goal or point after at home all season, he was perfect.

I’m still beyond despondent. The Chinese food helped, but I’m still very upset. 🙂

  3. Dawn Said,

LOL! i was very dusgusted by the way they played & for that i believe that they deserved that loss. but i still wanted my boys to win. 😉 i was rooting for Carolina too. and you KNOW i was rooting against Peyton lol…i blogged about him. i finally fogured out what it is about him that i don’t like. you probably won’t much enjoy that post. =P actually i *do* like the Steelers. they are my 2nd favorite AFC team so i’m happy they advanced. i guess you & i don’t share much in common this post season huh? LOL!
