Hot Chocolate or Egg Nog? Hot Chocolate

Does Santa wrap the presents or just set them under the tree? he just sets them out, same with the stockings. Nothing is wrapped. Santa is way too busy to stop and wrap presents for all the kids. Heck, he can barely get around the world and deliver them all on Christmas Eve as it is.

Do you hang mistletoe? only if Tim shoots me some down from the trees at his family’s house

When do you decorate? We usually start right after Tim’s birthday, hopefully always by the first week in December

What is your favorite holiday dish? hmmm, hard to pick. Fudge, probably! 😀

Favorite Holiday memory as a child? I wish I had some

How and when did you learn the truth about Santa? First grade. I overheard Scott and Greg talking about it, they said there was no Santa Claus and I went home from school and asked my mom. She confirmed it, unfortunately. No pretense with Dodie.

Do you open gifts on Christmas Eve? Normally, we spend Christmas Eve with Tim’s family, have since we got married. This will be the first year we don’t open them there with them on Christmas Eve. Since the divorce, the kids now switch years being with one parent then the other on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

What kind of cookies do you set out for Santa on Christmas Eve? whatever is available

Snow! Love it or hate it? Love it! But, of course, that’s because we so rarely get it… maybe once or twice a decade! And never on Christmas

Can you ice skate? Heavens no. If God meant for me to have wheels or blades on my feet, he would have put them there to begin with

Do you remember your favorite gift? my engagement ring, ten years ago this month, from Tim

What is the most important thing about the holidays for you? being with family and remembering why we celebrate

What’s your favorite holiday dessert? anything sweet!

What’s your favorite holiday tradition? Sigh, we don’t have that many. Putting up the tree, I guess. I love putting out my Snow Village, our stockings, and all my decorations. I love lighting up all my candles, putting on a Christmas movie (Tim won’t watch them with me) and wrapping. I love baking too.

Which do you prefer, giving or receiving? Giving, it’s much more fun

What is your favorite Christmas Carol? I can’t pick one… I love O Come All Ye Faithful, We Three Kings, Joy to the World, several others

Candy Canes, YUCK or YUM? Yuck… I don’t really like peppermint anything
