Tim and I had another busy, but fun-filled day today. We took the new Explorer out, needless to say!!

We went to Sam’s this afternoon to look at DVR’s (our is not working right, and we need to replace it before football season starts), and also to pick up one thing for my dad that he didn’t get on Thursday. It started pouring while we were in Sam’s and Tim got marginally soaked trying to get the Explorer. The good news is that it washed off some of the dirt and grime! 🙂

Then, we went to Tuesday Morning so I could look for some scrapbook stuff (I had read online they had some Chatterbox kits). Tim stayed in the car and talked on his phone – he was not brave enough to venture in. They had Christmas stuff up front, and I bought a glass snowman for 2.99, it sort of matches a couple others I have, same concept. I looked all over and found some other scrapbook stuff I was not interested in but couldn’t find any Chatterbox kits. However, I love rooting around in stores like TJMaxx, Marshalls, Hudsons and Tuesday Morning, so I decided to persevere and keep looking. I looked on one aisle that had tons of photo albums, and after digging around, I found 2 yellow Making Memories albums (Amanda, I’ll email you about these later), and got one. Then, I gave the outer aisles one more quick glance, even though the scrapping, stationery and photo albums were on other aisles. Low and behold, my intuition paid off. Laying off by themselves in a bath section were 3 Chatterbox Memory Builder kits. I got all of them, needless to say. If you want to see what they look like, try this link and hopefully it will work and not expire. I got Den, Sitting Room and Gallery. I would have liked to have found Billard, Great Room and Reading Room, but hey, discount shoppers can’t be picky. 😀

Then, we went to Lowe’s and picked up a flower for me to plant (my lantana out front died), a part for the tiller and an a/c filter. I am having to change ours every 2-3 weeks, and this is for filters that are supposed to be good for up to 3 months – which means that apparently I have a hugely dirty house, in spite of me cleaning it on a very regular basis. Then, we dropped off a movie we watched (Coach Carter, review soon up on Hambones), and went to eat supper at our favorite little Mexican joint in Madison – Cinco de Mayo. It was good!

We drove through a new development in Madison called Brisage and got out and looked at some of the houses. So pretty. One we really liked had Viking appliances in the kitchen, slate and granite, heart of pine floors, great moldings and fixtures – well, you get the idea. Totally out of our price range!

Tim is going to take my new car with him tomorrow, and run it by the dealership to get it cleaned and detailed. Can’t wait to see it all clean and shiny! I have to do all the financial stuff tomorrow. That’s the depressing part!

  1. Gail Said,

maybe we can go to cinco de mayo with you next time we are down there! love to try new places to eat.

  2. Amanda Said,

I need to check out my Tuesday Morning to see if they have any of those! I went by there a few weeks ago and they were closed for some inventory thing. The sign said that they would be closed for a few weeks restocking…I’ll have to go by and check again!
