Look What I Got!

Look what my wonderful sweet husband surprised me with last night!

My New iPod!

Tim called about 5 PM and said he was on his way home. He neglected to mention he had run a little errand before hand. He asked if I would like to go out and eat, which of course I answered yes to! We tried out the new Bonefish Grill in Madison. We’ve been wanting to go there for a while, since it opened a couple of months ago. Neither one of us realized it was as nice as it is – dark paneled floors, white tablecloths, candles, very dark and romantic, and a bit on the pricey side. Most entrees were in the $14 to $20 range, so it wasn’t too bad, but certainly more than I had planned to spend. It was incredibly delicious though, so well worth the money. I ordered the grilled salmon and had a choice of 4 different house sauces to have on it, and I picked the lemon butter sauce. I got mine with garlic mashed potatoes and steamed veggies on the side (which were sauteed and topped with a tiny bit of marinara and cheese). Tim ordered the Fontina chops, which were two boneless pork chops topped with Fontina cheese and sauteed mushrooms and onions. I tasted his and I can honestly say that those are the best pork chops I have ever tasted, bar none. My salmon was delicious also. They started us off with fresh baked bread and brought out homemade pesto mixed with olive oil to dip it in. We had a really interesting salad of mixed baby greens, hearts of palm, olives, and pine nuts. We both tried the house dressing, which was a citrus vinaigrette and it was really incredible tasting too. A great meal.

Then, we went to Blockbuster and rented “In Good Company”, which had been on my list for several weeks. We had another free coupon they had sent me in the mail.

On the way home, Tim knew I was still upset about my mom and said “would ice cream make you feel better?”. Well, of course it would, but I didn’t need ice cream after that delicious meal, I was stuffed. So, I said no. Then he said, “what about flowers?”. So I asked if he had flowers in the truck, and he said no, but he would go get me some. 🙂 Then he said, “what about a surprise?” I said, do you have a surprise in the truck, and he said YES! When we got home, he handed me a box to open. And I immediately knew what it was, since I’d been wanting an iPod for a while.

Tim got me a 30gig iPod Photo. We’re going to load it up and take it on our trip to Washington next week! Our CD player is not working in the car, so we are going to use the new iPod (and the FM transmitter we went and got last night at Best Buy) to listen to music on the drive up and back. Plus, we will be able to back up all the photos we take in DC onto the iPod! Is that cool or what?

I think I am going to spend most of the weekend getting it setup, and getting music on it. We tried to play with the transmitter late last night, after we watched the movie, but we were both tired, so we put that off till today. I had originally thought I wanted a sound dock for the house for the iPod, but if the transmitter will work with a radio in the house, then I’ll be happy to use it like that some around here.

We just got back from walking and had breakfast. I think I’m going to play with my iPod for a while now!!!
