Who Dat! Who Dat say de gonna beat MY Saints?! Who Dat? Nobody!
Yep, we’re excited and euphoric and dazed and thrilled beyond words! I know most of you guys out in blog-ville don’t care a hoot about football, but obviously we do. Tim is already talking about what kind of Super Bowl memorabilia he wants to get 🙂
Just for the record, this is a long time coming. For those of you who aren’t Saints fans, let me tell you this – in 43 years, the Saints had never even made it to the Super Bowl. Heck, for the first 21 years of the franchise’s existence, they didn’t even have a winning season. In the 12 years that Archie Manning was the quarterback for the Saints (yes, Peyton and Eli’s dad), he only had 35 wins. In twelve total years. So, this is long overdue and we’re really really really ecstatic!
Who Dat!
When Peyton failed on the final fourth down attempt, I think I heard you celebrating all the way in Tennessee. 🙂
I am SOOOOO excited for you guys!! One of the TAs here came in today with a Saints hat on. She lived in New Orleans for years!
i am really excited for you. i remember the thrill of every Pgh superbowl so i can only imagine how excited you are!! save the newspapers from today if you can – they will be fun to have someday!
I thought about you last night and knew you were SO happy! I know that you will be on Cloud 9 all week!
It was an exciting game, that’s for sure. I’m happy for you that your team won. I’m happy for the whole city of New Orleans too.
CONGRATS!!!! Winning the Super Bowl is the BEST! Losing is the WORST. 🙁 So I’m very happy for you! Hoping it’s the Packers’ turn next year. 🙂
It was a great game! Having grown up with a best friend whose family is all from New Orleans, I feel a definite connection to the place I visited many times while growing up! I still miss going down there during Mardi Gras season for the parades – one of these years I am going to have to go back…
Anyway, congrats! I know it was exciting for you!
