Super Bowl bound, baby, Super Bowl bound! For the first time in 43 years, the New Orleans Saints are finally going to their first Super Bowl 😀
Tim and I have never missed a game together in the last 15 years. We’ve watched them play horribly, play well, break our hearts, and make us happier than we could have believed as a Saints fan.
Tonight’s Vikings game was hard-won, they both played a really good, really close, really nerve-wracking game. The Colts are going to be even harder to play.
But tonight, we’re happy. Happy and excited and a little disbelieving that it has finally happened. I can barely talk, I’m so hoarse from all the yelling and screaming we’ve done for the last few hours. It’s good though, now, it’s all good 😀
Who Dat!
I’m so excited for you guys, Stacy!! You will be in my thoughts on that day in 2 weeks. 🙂
I really enjoyed this game. I thought it was over and then when Favre threw that interception… man alive. I just couldn’t believe it. We jumped, cheered, and at the end I was running up and down the hallway doing fist pumps. Boy that kick was beautiful. Haha! So much fun.
The one thing I DIDN’T want was the Jets or the Vikings in the Bowl… and I got my wish. I love the Colts and I would be happy if the Saints won, so either way, I’m excited and I hope it will be a great game!
I watched the very end of the game – the overtime – and was thinking of you when the Saints won. I just knew you’d be excited and happy. Good luck in the Super Bowl.
I guess your Super Bowl party is cancelled!!! I am happy for you! I was wondering if you normally cheer for Favre since he is from Mississippi (I know you were against him last night, but just wondering about when he isn’t playing the Saints).
Enjoy this time! I don’t really have strong feelings about the Super Bowl this year, so I will be happy for you if your Saints win!
Congratulations!! Are you going to actually go to the game???
I’ll be cheering on the Saints (from my living room!)
I thought the Saints fans were going to crash Facebook last night. Those were definitely two evenly matched teams. I am sure it gave you a heart attack watching the game, but it sure was a fun game to watch!
You know how much I love football (not)! I really hope your team wins, Stacy! It’s a great feeling even though I don’t follow it.
I also wanted to say that it’s such a let down when your team who ALWAYS makes it to the super bowl, doesn’t! We’re the opposite …. we won’t have a super bowl party because our team isn’t in it! LOL
I thought about you while I was watching that game– I knew you’d be thrilled!
Go Saints!
I truly would have been happy either way that game came out. I like the Saints & I like Favre. The Super Bowl though? I hope the Saints make Peyton cry like a little school girl. 😉 So tell your boys to bring the same D they used in the NFC Championship & to pretend Peyton is Favre. =D
