TV Ramblings

We watch a LOT of TV around here. I used to list all the shows we watch in my sidebar, but I took it off a while ago — the list just got too long!

We have a lot of shows that we are excited about, that are returning. To mention a few: Chuck, NCIS and NCIS: LA, Leverage, The Mentalist, Fringe, V (not sure when it’s coming back on, but we really liked it), Bones, etc. We’re also pretty pumped about the new Survivor: Heroes vs Villains. I hope it’s a good one! We also like a lot of the USA shows like Psych, Burn Notice, White Collar and In Plain Sight. I’m on the fence about a few, most notably Heroes.

Being Jack Bauer addicts, we’re really excited about 24! We’re also going to try the new show that comes on this Sunday with 24, Human Target. I hope it’s good 🙂 Also coming back is the final season of Lost. I’m a bit conflicted about it, wondering how they are going to finish it and how satisfied or dissatisfied we will be. Sigh. I would give it up, but I like to complete things, so I feel compelled to finish out the series.

Another spring show that we used to watch is American Idol — but we’re going to give that one up. We weren’t huge Paula fans, but we hated that they let her go. I always liked the dynamic of Randy, Paula and Simon. Last year, I was just not thrilled with Kara, and I do NOT like Ellen DeGeneres. So, we had already decided to just skip Idol this time, and now this week, they’ve come out and announced that Simon will leave after this year. I’m a little confused about the new show that he will come out with in 2011, the X-Factor. It sounds just like Idol to me!

OK, just some rambling… if you are excited about any show coming on, leave me a comment and let me know. I know most people are not tv junkies like we are 😀

  1. Stacy (the other one) Said,

We’ve recently gotten into Eureka – Have you seen that one? Great show!!

Then Leverage & Psych are shows I share with you!

  2. Maria Said,

You know, I don’t watch too many shows. Mostly because my family controls the main tv that has cable on it, LOL. My favorites to watch are Grey’s Anatomy. I will watch something if it catches my eye when Jose is watching it, but there are none I watch religiously other than Grey’s. Many of the ones you mentioned sound good, though!

  3. Dianne Said,

I”m pathetic. NCIS is the only show I can list as a regular watch. At least since Monk is gone. I’m probably not going to watch “24” this season – Mike couldn’t get into it with me much last season and that’s the main reason I started watching it. We watch a lot of reruns – Andy Griffith, Mash, etc. All sleepers!

  4. RIZZI Said,

HI STACY, I PRETTY MUCH WATCH THE SAME SHOWS EVERYDAY, I LOVE THE COOKING SHOW, AND CRAFT SHOWS, WHICH THERE ARE NOT THAT MANY THESE DAYS, I LOVED TO WATCH CAROL DUVAL AND HER CRAFTS, BUT THAT IS GONE TOO.
I’M ALWAYS LOOKING FOR A GOOD MOVIE, AND THE OLD SHOWS LIKE LITTLE HOUSE, AND THE ANDY GRIFFTH SHOW. THE WALTON’S I REALLY LIKED, WHICH THEY TOOK OFF COMPLETELY. I MISS THAT ONE. WELL, HOPE YOUR WEATHER IS NOT TOO COLD, HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND THAT’S COMING UP, AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR NICE COMMENTS YOU LEFT ON MY BLOG.

  5. Sadie Said,

I like Chuck too, and Leverage. I watch Grey’s and Private Practice. And Brothers and Sisters. And The Biggest Loser.

I imagine I”ll watch Idol this year, though I don’t know if I’ll continue without Simon. The X Factor is a little different from what I’ve read– for one thing there’s no age limit, and also the judges coach the contestants, and so there’s competition between the judges for their contestants to win. Also there’s more novelty acts, I heard, which I picture to be like the stuff on America’s Got Talent. I wish Nashville Star would come back. I wanna be on it. 🙂

Also I’m addicted (bad choice of words) to Intervention and Hoarders. And I watch NCIS and Criminal Minds, both new and repeats on A&E and Ion and Sleuth. And I love 48 Hours Mystery, and similar shows.

Wow, I watch a lot of TV.

  6. Kim Said,

    Hi Stace-
Just wanted to say thanks for stopping by my blog today! I think of you often, but many times when I come over here to visit you, your blog just won’t load for me. Today I got lucky and have enjoyed catching up with you. I see that you are reading Lynn Austin–she is one of my favorite christian authors but I haven’t read much new stuff by her. I need to go check out what all she has available now!
The show that I am the most in love with is Glee, which is on hiatus right now. I can’t wait for it to return. The men in my life are super pysched about Chuck but I am usually in the other room online when they are watching that one. My son’s like CSI (any of them) and NCIS, We did all watch Cold Case together but it came on too late and we have stopped, I’m not even sure if it is on anymore? I am hanging in there with Idol, but with Simon leaving, this may be my last season. I am also looking forward to Dancing With the Stars again. I really don’t have much other time to watch other stuff–I need time for reading and online fun!
    *smiles*

  7. Jill Said,

I {proudly and without shame} consider myself a TV junkie, too…but I don’t watch a single show you listed – ha! I’ll occasionally tune into American Idol just to stay in the loop, but don’t tune in often. My favorite – Mad Men – has just ended. Mid-season for Housewives on Bravo and Brother’s and Sisters. And you really don’t want to know how much time I spend watching QVC and HSN – not buying just watching. Perfect fodder for sales people like me. I’ve got a sales line for every situation – ha!

  8. mamichelle Said,

You are speaking a foreign language to me! LOL I’m just not a t.v. person. I only watch t.v. on Thurs. night and I watch Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice. I used to be fond of ER. Not sure why I love these hospital shows!!

I don’t like Ellen either and I can’t imagine her in that show. I was told that she’s not going to be on until later in the program.

  9. Karen Said,

I found two new shows this season that I never miss — Modern Family and The Good Wife. I’m not a big t.v. hound, but I’m so excited to have TWO favorite shows now!
