OK, if anyone wants to know, I’ve run some of my errands today. Went to the library this morning and checked out two more books (they are on the sidebar now). I also put a hold on the next Stephanie Plum book (High Five), but it won’t be in for a couple more weeks. I think myself and another person are reading them in order, because he/she has them checked out before me, every time!
I also ran to Kroger and picked up a few things, and am headed out to Sam’s in a few minutes to get a couple more things. Check out the -More- link if you want to see the shopping lists!
Library: Checked out two books – The Nanny Diaries and one that has been on my “to-read” list for years and years, “A Year in Provence” by Peter Mayle. So many books, so hard to pick! 🙂
Kroger: I got some bananas, small red potatoes, asparagus and lettuce. Also picked up another bag of orzo on sale. I got two bags of frozen super-sweet white corn and one bag of frozen sugar snap peas. I also snuck an organic brownie/snack bar in my basket, and am going to give it a try later on. WOW, I just looked at the receipt and that sucker cost 1.00, and it’s tiny, smaller than the palm of my hand. It’s called a Clif Bar, I had never seen them before, but the big “ORGANIC” label on top that says “made with oats and soybeans” suckered me in. I’m all about eating healthy you know, especially if it says “chocolate” or “brownie”. 😀 I just looked them up and found this link, click here to check them out!! Apparently, they are made by the same people that make Luna bars, which I had heard of. I bet it tastes like chocolate sawdust! 🙂
Sam’s: Just have to get more chicken (big bag of Tyson boneless skinless breasts) and a big bag of salmon fillets. We eat mostly chicken and fish, so I try to keep these on hand. Depending on the price, I may get milk or OJ. Those are on sale this week for a 2.50 a gallon at Kroger. If it’s cheaper at Sam’s, I’ll pick up more milk. If not, I will ad match next Monday or Tuesday at Walmart when I go to do my “regular” grocery shopping.
By the way, any of you that might still be reading this probably knows this – I LOVE to go grocery shopping, I love buying food!! 😀
Yep, it is fun sometimes, but I think one day you might tire of it!
Have you actually started Nanny Diaries yet? I can’t wait to see what you think about it, although I may not remember as much as I should because it’s been probably 2 years since I read it.
