Well, we knew it was going to happen sooner or later. Our air conditioning is out. The unit is old, and we’ve been having to add freon for the last couple of years. We had a technician out earlier in the week and they filled it up on freon and did a maintenance check. They told us again “it’s on its last leg”, which is the exact same thing they told us last year 🙄 However, air conditioning is very necessary in our part of the country. Today’s high is supposed to be 97 or 98, with heat indexes of 105-110. Not going to be fun here with the windows open and fans on 🙁
We have two people coming out this morning to look at our unit and give us an estimate. Keep your fingers crossed that we have cool air again soon. Last night was a really long, hot night. Not much sleep here!
The same thing happened to us at this time last year. Even though we got a new unit installed pretty quickly, it was 96 outside, and the inside of our house was 90+ in less than 36 hours. I hope you have a new unit and are comfortable VERY soon!
I hate sleeping in hot weather! I hope you have cool air again soon!

Oh do I feel your pain. I cannot even *imagine* no a/c right now!! (Not to mention, no way can I sleep with my windows open; I wouldn’t feel safe living on the ground floor!) I hope you can get that remedied soon!
I feel for you! We have no a/c and I’m hoping it’s not too hot this summer. Big chance of that!
We came home from vacation two years ago to find that our a/c was out…in the middle of 110 degrees weather in Phoenix. We ended up at a hotel for the night and then at a friend’s house for four days while we got a brand new compressor. It was not fun at all and I hope that you will get some cool running very, very soon! Good luck!
It’s so hot here too. We have already been out there and it was early and Miller said…lets go in its too hot…..im not complaining summer is here..we love summer time…just wish we had some breeze with this humidity.
