Monday Malaise

Coffee Good Monday Morning! I think I’m going to have a hard time getting going today. I guess it’s always like that after a long weekend 🙂

We had a really good, really busy holiday weekend. We went to a family get-together, then got to spend some time with Tim’s brother and his new wife. We played a lot of Tiger Woods on the new Wii (since I cannot find Mario Kart or Wii Fit anywhere, no matter how often or how hard I look, boo-hoo). We went to see “Hancock” at the movie theater. We had a friend over and grilled out a couple of times. We had a great rain yesterday afternoon and I was so glad. It was really dry here and we needed water for our flowers and grass.

I also spent a lot of time on the computer. I have the majority of my applications reloaded, but I still have one or two left to do (most notably, Mastercook, which I use for my recipes). I also haven’t reloaded ANY of my data, except my iTunes library. So, a lot of work left to do on the computer. I also spent a lot of time playing on the computer – thanks Cam for introducing me to yet another really addictive thing online 🙂

I haven’t posted any pictures in ages, because I haven’t reloaded any of my old pictures, or transferred any new pictures since my laptop broke. Maybe I can do that later this week.

On the positive side – I read several books while my laptop was broken. I’ve been entering them at GoodReads and trying to write a blurb there about them.

Hope everyone had a great weekend and will have an awesome week! We’re really looking forward to this coming weekend – our niece and her family move back to town from North Carolina and we can’t wait to see them 😀

  1. dianne Said,

Malaise – good word to describe my day too. I was off last week though, so i shouldn’t complain. Why is it so hard to come back or get back into regular routine!!

Sounds like you had a fun weekend. I hope you get your laptop back in shape soon – what an aggravation.

  2. jen Said,

Sounds like a relaxing weekend you had. I love times like this. You mentioned stove top and crock pot dinners….I have decided to only do the oven one night a week. I’m with you on this…..save energy. Have a great day.

  3. Gail Said,

You might need a “holiday” to recuperate from the holiday weekend!
Hope you get all the laptop stuff worked out, that is just so annoying isn’t it.

E wanted to know the other day if y’all were ready to get beat again at wii! Are you seeing K and crew this weekend? I’m supposed to keep the kids I think but she might call later in week to firm everything up.

  4. Sandra Said,

Hope you have a great week and get your laptop working. When I had no internet last week I read 5 books, HUGE books LOL

  5. Dawn Said,

Sounds like you guys had a busy weekend but it sound like so much fun.
The rain yesterday was nice and my plants really enjoy it too but I don’t think Patt and the guys enjoyed it. They were over around Canton when the bottom fell out and his riding clothes are still drying out. (i tried to warm them it was going to rain but they never listen….)

  6. annie Said,

Maybe I would get more reading done if I didn’t have my computer 🙂

  7. Kim Said,

What a busy but fun sounding weekend! I bet your rain felt good–of course I would gladly send some of ours your way!! Actually we have a sunny week ahead and believe it or not, our grass is starting to turn brown already! We are too cheap to water it too much–water surcharge rates around here in the summer are ridiculous.
Hope you get your computer in tip top shape soon and have a happy Tuesday tomorrow.
    *smiles*
    Kim

  8. mamichelle Said,

I think we need a Wii!!! Can’t wait to see some pix and also read about your books.

    Have a great day!

  9. Desert Songbird Said,

We’ve had zero luck in finding Mario Kart as well. I think it frustrates hubby more than it does the kids!

  10. Coach Jenny Said,

I did get the link from you on GoodReads, but don’t have to the time to go and see what that’s all about.
What did you think about Hancock? There was a twist in there that I did NOT expect, and wished we hadn’t wasted our money….
