Guess what we got!
We got it hooked up and started playing the sports game that came with it late last night. We couldn’t find the Wii Fit game anywhere, so I’ll have to keep looking for that. I know that Tim wants to get the Tiger Woods golf game, but I’m looking for suggestions of other fun games. Are any of the Mario ones fun? Remember, it’s just adults here, with the occasional visit from the kiddie brigade. Yes, we needed a video game console just for us adults, LOL!

THIS will bring me out of my bloggy break. 😉 Yay for getting a Wii!!! Super Mario Galaxy is by far the most fun and challenging game I’ve ever played. It’s a blast! Also, Mario Kart that just came out is TONS of fun. And if you get that and you have wireless at your house? WE can race each other. Last night I was racing with four of my friends all over the country. So cool. 😉 Frankly, I think the Mario games are geared more for adults than kids. Don’t bother with Paper Mario though — HATED that one. Especially after playing Super Mario Galaxy. I also LOVE the “Dancing with the Stars” game. It’s hilarious when you get going and it really works your arms.
Oh, and if you get Mario Kart, be sure and get an extra remote and Wii wheel…you’re going to want to be able to run over Tim while he’s racing. heee!
It was tough to find the wii fit. I think they get shipments on Tuesday’s at Walmart, if you look online it says out of stock but you can enter your zip code and it tells you if they have them in the stores close by. We went to three stores to find one. They sold out right before we got it at the first two stores. Also Matt said his friend paid $5 at toysrus and they reserve one for him when it comes in. You’ll love wii fit.
Oh my goodness! Can’t believe you got it! I have read about the fit one though at blogs and wondered if it would actually be a workout.
I used to play Mario Kart on the old nintendo thing, from way back and I liked it pretty good! But of course, have no experience with these.

I actually just WON a wii! Im so excited. It was from some Edy’s/American Idol contest. I had totally forgotten about it and then got some letter in the mail telling me I’d won! I should get it in July sometime. 🙂 I love Mario, so I’ll probably have to get one of those games. My cousin has one and had the multi-pack with tennis, bowling, cars, golf, etc along with some just puzzle type games…it was really fun.
Can’t wait to hear how you like your Wii…everyone I know that has one just LOVES it!
Cool beans!! I’ve only played the sports one – my son and his family got one at Christmas – and we loved the bowling. Toyed with the idea of getting one for us, but we haven’t. Have a ball with it!
My kids have the My Sims game. They have fun making their own little town and people, etc. We also have Mario Party 8 but we want the Mario Kart pretty badly. that probalby going to be the next game we got. DH got the Call of Duty 3 and he likes it. A war like movie.
My youngest daughter LOVES Mario Kart. She says she’s addicted to it ;~)

Yeah for you! All I’ve done on it is played the WiiFit. I’ll have to ask my boys which games they prefer. I probably should go use my WiiFit now and not just type about it. LOL Have fun!
