QOTD – The Movies

Popcorn Today’s Question of the Day is all about movies. I’ll take some popcorn with mine, please 🙂

The summer onslaught of big-screen movies is here! Tim and I went to see Ironman a couple of weeks ago and we both really liked it. Then again, we like most of the Marvel comic book movies. The new Indiana Jones movie starts next week, and inquiring minds want to know, do you plan to go see the Indy movie in the theater this summer?

If not, which big-screen movie are you excited about seeing? Or if you don’t go to the theater, what’s a movie you’ve rented lately and really liked, or one you want to rent?

Have a great day!

  1. Jill Said,

I can’t remember the last time I saw a movie in the theater, but in my single/childless days I loved going to the movies (and eating the popcorn!). I admit I have not seen any of the Indiana Jones movies (my husband couldn’t believe it either) so I do not plan to see the new one. But, my hubby is excited about it and may, indeed, take the older kids to go see it.

  2. mamichelle Said,

    Yes, some buttered popcorn, please!

I’m embarrassed to admit I haven’t seen a movie at the theatre since The English Patient!!

DH and I dont’ usually like the same kind of movie and I also fall asleep. Yep, it could be the most exciting part of the movie and I’ll zonk out. Don’t know why!!

We used to go when the boys were little and my dh always got to see the fun movies (Indiana Jones type) and I got the childish Disney type with my youngest.

  3. deb Said,

Scott and I went to see the new Narnia movie and I really liked it. I want to see Ironman and Indiana Jones and also the new Hulk movie :=)

  4. annie Said,

We watched National Treasure 2 last night. I thought it was pretty good.

  5. Karen Said,

I love going to see movies in the theatre. We try to get discount coupons and buy our snacks at Target to make it more affordable. I plan to see the Narnia movie and the Indiana Jones movie. I hope they stay out long enough, because it’s going to be at least a week before I get to either one. I don’t care much for animated movies and in fact the last movie I saw was one of those — I slept during most of it and can’t remember what it was:(

  6. Eileen Said,

I’m not a movie watcher! I don’t know why I never watch. The last one I saw in the theater was Elf! I would like to see more movies though. One of these days…..

My son went to see the Indiana Jones movie at midnight last night. I have no interest in it. 🙂

  7. Gail Said,

We don’t go to the theater that often but some you just have to see on the big screen…..we’re going to see Indiana Jones! Not sure what else, Get Smart maybe later this summer? Possibly the Narnia movie too but it’s hard to get to many movies for Don this time of year.

  8. Desert Songbird Said,

You betcha I’m gonna catch Indy in the theater! Can’t wait!

  9. heather Said,

I am looking forward to seeing Sex and the City. I never really saw the HBO version however I catch the reruns on TBS all the time.

  10. Susanne Said,

We usually don’t go to the theatre because it’s so darn expensive, but at Christmas we discovered that Costco here is selling Cineplex Odeon packages. For $22 we get 2 adult tickets, popcorn and two pop. Good deal when an adult ticket here is $9 each. So we’ll be going to Iron Man and Indy and for date nights and definitely Prince Caspian as a family. Last month we saw Forbidden Kingdom with Jackie Chan which was good if you like the whole Jackie Chan comedy/martial arts stuff.

  11. Heidi Said,

I would love to see the new Narnia movie. I would like to see Indy too,but I doubt that I can see both movies in the theatre.

  12. Claire Said,

Not really planning on seeing Indian Jones but I want to go see Narnia.

  13. Brit' Gal Sarah Said,

We are off to see Indy tonight and can’t wait, loved the original movies. I will also be the first in line for Sex and the City next weekend.

  14. Elizabeth B Said,

Narnia – Prince Caspian. Saw it, good, but very different from the book.
    Indiana Jones.
    The Dark Knight

  15. Shawna Said,

I want to see Prince Caspian and Indiana Jones although I’m not sure it will be as good as the others. The think we’ll rent Iron Man. I watched Made of Honor with the girls and it was pretty good.

  16. jen Said,

I’m a Sen and the City die hard fan…never missed an episode when it was on HBO and cried the night it ended….seriously. So…I will be at the movies next weekend with my gal pals for a great movie….we dont normally do the movies unless it’s something BIG. Madison goes with Scott’s mom all the time though.
    Indiana Jones….dont laugh…I have never seen them…

  17. Dianne Said,

My friend and I went to see the Indy movie yesterday – matinee was $13.50 for 2 of us, which I didn’t think was bad. We both loved it! Made up for the 2 absolutely raunchy ones Mike picked last week – No Country for Old Me, and I Am Legend. Both huge disappointments, given we usually like anything with Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith. But Indy more than made up for them 😉

Your bloomin’ stuff below looks great. I have a TON of stuff sitting in my driveway to get planted . . . gotta get a move on.

  18. Michael - Lover of Amy Said,

I plan to see the Indiana Jones movie. What is troubling to me now is that it is just now Memorial Day weekend, and I am already 4 movies behind in what I want to see this Summer. I have not seen and WANT to see Indiana Jones, Ironman, Prince Caspian, and Speed Racer.

  19. kathy m Said,

We went and saw the indy movie today. I liked it.
Next up….Kung Fu Panda, Prince Caspian, Hancock, Zohan.

  20. twiga Said,

We went and saw Prince Caspian yesterday. It was pretty good. We want to see Ironman but will wait till it’s out on DVD. We’re very selective what we’ll spend money on at the big screen. We want to see the Indy Jones movie also.

  21. Fresh Girl Said,

I’ll eventually get to see the Indy movie, but this summer’s big movie anticipation is all about the new X-Files movie coming out July 25! Mulder and Scully…yay!! 😉
