Dancing with the Stars

I had “Good Morning America” on this morning. Today is the 2 year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina hitting our state and devastating our Gulf Coast. So, I’ve been watching some of the morning shows (Today and GMA, I rarely watch the Early Show on CBS) and checking out some of the coverage. I was glad to see the announcement of the dancers – they have more this time, 12 couples and the show starts in late September (9/24). I can’t wait, I love this show 🙂

Marie Osmond – singer, actress
Floyd Mayweather – boxer
Melanie Brown – “Scary” Spice
Helio Castroneves – Racecar Champ
Jenny Garth – Beverly Hills 90210 actress
Cameron Mathison – from daytime soap All My Children (yeah, I LOVE him!)
Jane Seymour – actress
Albert Reed – Model
Sabrina Bryant – actress, singer (part of the group The Cheetah Girls)
Mark Cuban – Basketball Owner (Dallas Mavericks), billionaire
Josie Maran – Model (SI swimsuit, among other things)
Wayne Newton – Las Vegas entertainer

I’m really excited about several of these contestants! Do you watch this show and if so, who would you root for out of these (obviously, if they are decent dancers!)? 🙂

    I’ve never watched this show from the beginning – I usually just watch the last couple of weeks. But I think I might watch this year. I know a few of the names. I’d probably root for Wayne Newton – he’s the closest to my age!

    Hi! I happened upon your site via Sugarfused. Boy! am I glad I did. I had completely forgotten about this announcement today! I LOVE this show! (I am a TOTAL reality TV junkie – sad but true!) I am very excited about Jennie Garth, Marie Osmond and Wow! Cameron??? yowza!

    Well you know I love this show! I think I watched before you started with it…..I’d seen some of the names of the new ones. I think Marie Osmond and Jane Seymour could be fun, IF they can dance that is. 🙂 I sometimes like to root for older ones but it gets painful if they can’t dance well.
    I don’t watch that soap but I know who that actor is, Mathison and he is pretty cute!
    The Cheetah girls singer should have rhythm, but it might be whether she can do ballroom kind of stuff.

    I’m ready for something, anything, NEW to come on!

    I do watch this show but I don’t know many of the Stars. Jane Seymour, Marie Osmond, Wayne Newton – that’s about it. I really only get into the last few shows – they drag it out too much.

    I don’t watch this show, but the finals to the one when Emmitt Brown won? He practiced for the finals at my daughter’s dance studio! The owner, who is a huge football fan (of the Browns, though, NOT the Cowboys) was over the moon with excitement. His photo hangs in the lobby of the studio.

    I gotta say, looking at this line up? Who scares me is Mark Cuban. I can’t imagine taking all that hyperactivity and trying to contain it in a disciplined dance.

    Whoo hoo, we love this show. My sister got me hooked. I don’t know who to root for until I actually see them the first couple of times. I’m surprised Jane Seymour is on there. I’ve always like her but we’ll see when it gets going.

    I love this show and I’m glad to see Marie Osmond in there, I think I’m mostly going to watch for Cameron Matthison though….what can I say, I’m shallow and he’s cute??? LOL

    I haven’t really gotten into Dancing With the Stars which is odd since I love reality tv…but with Cameron Mathison on this time I just may have to watch. He’s such a cutie!!!

    I’m such a dork – I meant Emmitt SMITH. I was thinking that our dance studio owner is a Browns fan, and my fingers got ahead of my brain.

    I can’t pick who I like just yet. I gotta see them dance. I may like them as a celeb but not a dancer.

    I think I’m going to have to actually SEE some of these folks before I pick who I’m going to root for, but I think it looks like a good line-up! I have a friend who is rooting for Cameron Mathisen to go far on the show, if only for the fact that it might keep him away from AMC longer. heee!

    Stacey, I can’t wait for this show to start again!! I love it and I’m excited about several of the “celebrities” that have signed on…especially Wayne Newton, Jane Seymour and Marie Osmond..just for curiousity’s sake lol ;~)
    Also, Jennie Garth should be wonderful to watch 🙂

    I do hope you’re having a great holiday weekend. We’ve been out and about all day long and I’ve been meaning to write you but time has run out once again 🙁
