Look what came in the mail yesterday!
Yes, it’s a candle, not a real pie! But, it looks and smells like a real apple pie. Isn’t that the cutest thing you’ve ever seen? I won this from Karen, at Mommy of Three, during the Doggy Dogs of Summer blog giveaway. It was specially made by Scentsational Creations Candles and Critters, and it’s called an Apple Pie a la Mode candle. After I opened up the box, I put it out on the kitchen counter, and when my husband came in the kitchen, he looked at it really funny and I could see the question going through his head (did she make a really small pie?!). He picked it up and smelled it and said “Man, this smells so good!”. I told him what it was and how I had won it, and he was like, “it smells so good and it looks so real”. I totally agree with him, and so far, I’ve been reluctant to burn it. I just love the way it looks and smells and am not quite ready to burn it yet!

Maybe you could get a candle warmer on which to place that so that you could enjoy the scent. Then again, it might melt…

What a pretty candle! Almost too pretty to light.
I am so glad you like it! I have one that has been on my counter for weeks and I haven’t lit it because it smells so good already that I haven’t needed to:-) But, I ordered some more while they are on sale, so I lit it this morning, and yum…the whole house smells great! My kids were disappointed that it wasn’t something they could eat though. (one hint, make sure you put it on a plate if you burn it, the wax will melt over the edge).
Oh, and we’ll see about the cheesehead thing, our digital camera has gone MIA, but never fear, every Sunday (unless they play on Monday night), I will have it on:-)
Yummy, it looks good enough to have a slice! I think I would wait on burning it too and enjoy it for awhile. It’s just too pretty to burn! And congrats on winning! I love to win stuff and have won quite a few things in Blogville!
