I posted a “Question of the Day” over the weekend, about how many doors do you have in your house. Heidi, over at God’s Grace in Practice, suggested that I ask the same question about windows. So, we will do that today. Not only that, but that actually got me to thinking. I think I’ll ask a serious of inane questions about numbers this week. How many of this do you have or how many of that. Exciting stuff, huh?!
So, that’s today’s Question of the Day – how many windows do you have in your house? No bonus points for piping up and talking about how often you clean these windows. I really hate to clean windows and don’t do it very often. We’re talking years here, people. I really hate to clean windows.
Ok, now for my number, I had to stop and count! We have 11 windows in our house. This does not include the windows in our doors, just sheer windows. We really need to replace some of them and get more energy efficient double paned windows. You can feel the heat coming through them this time of year. Sigh. It’s always something to upgrade or replace when you own a house, isn’t it?! Leave me a comment and let me know how many windows you have in your house. 🙂

P.S. The photo is of my dog Beau, peering out the kitchen window. There was a lizard out there, and he was watching it intently. He dislikes lizards and chases them constantly.
I think I have 21! Plus 2 sidelight windows in the front hall by the front door, the front door is solid but there are those 2 long things at the sides…….I did not count 2 doors that I have that are like your kitchen door that is mostly glass!
So 21 for sure plus my 2 in the front hall if those count as windows!
I do NOT like cleaning windows and almost don’t do it.
We have 12 windows at home. I like keeping windows open and letting fresh air and some sunlight in.
Oh, Beau looks eager to go outside and get hold of that lizard. 🙂

Ugh….windows….I have 26 in my house and another 6 in the porch attached to the house. I need a window cleaner!!!!!!!!!
We have 10 windows in our house.
We have 28 windows. It’s nice to have so many, but not so nice to clean. It was also not so nice when we had to order blinds!

I think I have 18 which includes 2 skylights and the 2 basement windows. It also inlcudes 2 windows for 2 different large windows (that is really just two regular windows stuck together.). I guess that is a lot of windows considering that I didn’t include the one in the door or the sliding door! I hate cleaning windows. A lot!

We have 27 windows. And one toddler. That’s a lot of windows with fingerprints!

Now, about the windows…8 in the house proper, 3 more in the garage, and 5 of those little basement window things that sit at ground level and which you can’t see out of for several months of the year because they’re blocked by snow.
I am going to count again, but I have counted before (to get a quote from a window washer!) we have more than 50 in our house………. a lot of stinkin’ windows. We have 19 or 20 just on the main floor.
But that’s why I liked the house, all the light!
10 windows here, not counting the windows on our doors. I *just* cleaned them all, inside and out, last weekend! I even took off the screens and cleaned those, too. I think I’m nesting… 😀

We have only 11. I guess we must have a small house compared to everyone else! I also should add that we 3 sky lights too! Wash windows? Are we supposed to do that?!! 🙂
Gosh, I have no idea!!! I don’t DO windows, and if I counted them now, I’d see how dirty they are, and have one more thing to add to the to-do list. 🙂
Oh, I meant to say also, I love that picture of your dog!!! My 13 year old son absolutely loves lizards, and he searches them out! Put those two together, and I’m sure we’d have an afternoon full of entertainment!

Not counting the doors? Hm…..19, I think 🙂 And I don’t “do” windows…no cleaning…that’s a job for hubby if he ever gets bored 😉
