Taggity Tag Tag

I’ve been tagged recently by several bloggers for different memes, tags and such. I’m sorry to be so late posting these, but I have been in a bit of a blogging slump lately, as well as a non-tagging mood. I’ll try to get out of that here 🙂

The first was by mamichelle and KathyM, who both tagged me with this one:

If you had the opportunity to do a 1-year internship in a company or field completely unrelated to your current career or specialty, what would be your top 5 choices?

Well, I must admit, I think I have the dream job right now – no stressful job to slave away at all day, every day any more. Thanks to my hardworking husband, he provides for us and I’m allowed to stay home, relax, stay healthy, take care of us and the house, do the things I love and need to do, and spend my “spare” time with him. It’s not for the career-minded, driven, Type-A, people, but I love it. I call it early retirement 🙂 Thus, this “coming up with a job choice” is a difficult concept for me!

If I had to go back to work, I would like to think I’d try the following:

1. Paralegal (I like research)
2. Librarian (duh, I love books!)
3. Scenic photographer (I love to take photos of neat buildings, churches, cemeteries, flowers, trees, etc)
4. Food Taste Tester (duh!)
5. Book Editor/Reviewer (not that I can write good reviews, but I’d love to be able to have a legitimate excuse to read new books!)

I was also tagged by Amy, over at Laughing Through the Tears, for an eight random things about me tag. I’m going to wimp out on this one and refer you to a post I made a while back, about 9 weird things about me. Believe me, I could probably come up with a lot more of these. I’m really rather an odd person – just ask anyone who knows me (Gail and my husband would be MORE THAN HAPPY to tell you about all of the odd things I do, eat, watch, think and feel!) 😀

I won’t tag anyone specifically for either of these, but if you’d like to play along, please do so! Just leave me a comment to let me know, so I can come visit and check out your answers.

  1. Carrie Said,

Oh Yeah! Food taste tester would be super fun!!

Glad to know I’m not the only one who hits that *all* button, LOL. Thanks for making me feel better! It’s nice to not feel so alone, heehee!!

    Y’all have a good day!

  2. Coach J Said,

I’ve got some awards I need to accept and dish out myself! 🙂 Glad to know I’m not alone here.

  3. Gail Said,

I think I’m doing my dream job too.
But if I could pick something else, hmmm…..
    1. a backup singer or dancer (I’d have to actually be able to do those things automatically though!)
    2. a world traveller, something where someone would pay me to travel and give them reports on things, I could get into that!
    3. photographer sounds good too.

that’s all I can think of right now!

  4. Dianne Said,

This is fun, I’ll have to give it some thought. And I think you’d make a wonderful book reviewer!

  5. Lauren@Baseballs&Bows Said,

I would love to be a librarian as well; I would especially love being a children’s librarian.

  6. Desert Songbird Said,

Food taster? Yum! I often think if I were to return to the work world that I’d love to work in a bookstore. I once dreamed of owning a bookstore, but I know how difficult that would be, and I’d be run out of business too quickly by the likes of Barnes and Noble and Borders.

  7. Jill Said,

Oh, gosh…how could I have forgotten food taster? Or how about restaurant critic? Wouldn’t that be fun? But then I’d have to also be workout instructor and that’s just asking too much! :o)

  8. melanie Said,

I love the food taster idea! Only if calories don’t count while “working” though!

  9. Sonya Said,

I love your career choices. This meme was fun even though, like you, I am already doing what I want to do and I love it!

  10. Kara Said,

SOmeone just asked me recently what I want to do when I gorw up and I had a hard time coming up with anything! I am really grovving on my “early retirement”! Food taster and librarian are a couple of good ones though – I’ll have to keep those in reserve for the next time someone asks me that question!

  11. Susanne Said,

I am so coveting your dream job you have right now! :v)

I would have listed exactly those same 5 jobs. We’re a lot alike!

  12. Cam Said,

I think your current job is perfect! But if you ever did go back to work outside, I think that a librarian would be the most perfect, fun job for you!

  13. shellsq Said,

You are a popular girl, Stacy! 🙂

Great answers. I’m not surprised at the library one!

p.s. Finished another book. Moving on to 5th for the year! (don’t laugh too hard, you’re probably on 5 for the week).

  14. Debi Said,

I LOVE your list! I think I could put every one of those on mine, too! Of course, I’d be much better off not being a taste-tester!

  15. Simply Dawn Said,

I was going to school to become a paralegal when I moved to La and the attorney I worked for here in MS scared the mess out of me when it comes to La law so I never went back and got my degree and I regreat not having it 🙁

    Love your list!!!

  16. Amy Said,

Stacy, you and I are a lot alike! I so have to have things in their right spot and can’t rest easy until it’s done to my liking! Drives my family nuts, but hey, if they did it right to begin with then there wouldn’t be a problem! And Chinese? Uh yeah, I’ll pick you up at 7:00 for dinner…every night! LOVE IT! Thanks for linking to it so I could find your list! Although it is hard to believe you’ve never seen a whole Andy Griffith show! I do love Friends and Mad About You and am able to quote them too. That drives my family nuts too but I really don’t care ;o)
