Hope everyone is having a wonderful Memorial Day weekend, and enjoys this day. Let us all remember that it’s not just a day off work, or a day to hang out with our families. It’s also a day of remembrance, for all of the lives that have been given for our freedom – in defense and protection of our nation. Let us never forget. I know I, for one, am very grateful to all those who serve us, and especially those who have given their life on behalf of our great nation.

Thanks for this timely reminder, Stacy. Today as I went for an early morning walk, I couldn’t help thinking “where are all the vets?” It made me think I need to do something intentionally to let at least one or two know I remember and appreciate their sacrifice.

Great post! Thank you! I went to my cousin’s high school graduation on Friday, and they announced the names of all the kids going into the armed services and had them stand up. They got a standing ovation. I just want to cry thinking about it now. I am so grateful, and they are so young!
