Today’s “Question of the Day” is the shortest and easiest one yet! What color are your eyes? And if you’d like to elaborate, do you have the same color as one or both of your parents? If you have kids, do your kids have your eye color? And, if you really want to go all out — if you wear contacts, have you ever gotten or considered getting colored contacts to change your eye color?
My answer – my eyes are green. I do believe I have my mom’s eyes. Tim’s eyes are a beautiful hazel color. If we had been able to have children, I always wanted them to have Tim’s eyes.
So, how about you? Leave me a comment and let me know! Have a wonderful day 🙂
Mine are green too! Surprise, surprise!
Don’s are hazel……….one kid has brown and the other 3 are like mine and Don’s.
Wear contacts, but NO colored contacts! Won’t get them to change eye color, I think they are more expensive.
My mom’s are blue; my dad’s are hazel. Both myself and my brother have very blue eyes. My mother’s sisters married dark-eyed men and had many blue-eyed children. I like to say it’s a strong blue gene. So we’ll see what my kids get. 😉
My contacts are tinted slightly for visibility when handling them, but they aren’t colored. Never had any urge to change my eye color.
Hey Stacy:-).
I have my mom’s eyes. They are blue. My dad had dark brown eyes (chickasaw indian in him). Hubs has hazel eyes. I’ve been curious too if we had been able to have kids what color would there eyes have been. Oh well God just has different plans for those of us without kiddies :-).
Have a great day!
I have beautiful blue eyes. Both my parents have (had) blue eyes (my mom has passed) and my daughter has blue eyes (my hubby does too). Funny story about my blue eyes. Growing up one of my best friend’s Sarah had brown and she would always dance around to “My Brown Eyed Girl” and it used to devastate me so her big rother Joe would always sing to me “My Blue Eyed Girl” just to make me stop crying!
I have my dad’s eyes–they’re green. Two of my three children have green eyes–and then I have one blue-eyed blonde!
Fun question! My eyes are one of the features about myself that I really like. They are a jewel shade of green with gold flecks and a dark green rim. Jeff has really nice brown eyes. I call them “Hershey Kisses Eyes” 😀
I have hazel eyes. Both of my daughters have brown eyes (my ex-husband is Mexican and they got is dark features). My husband has beautiful blue eyes and I hope that Levi will have blue eyes like his Daddy!
blue. like both of my parents. although i have the same blue eyes as my paternal grandfather. much more vibrant than either of my parents. also, mine change shade based on my mood. from a steely blue-grey when i am angry, to deep blue when i am happy & relaxed, to bright blue when i cry.
My eyes are brown, just like my mom’s. Dad’s eyes are green, and the brother’s eyes are blue. He’s also the only blonde in the family, so we’re not too sure where he came from. 😉 I do not wear contacts and will never wear them, unless someone comes up a way to put them in that doesn’t involve STICKING MY FINGER IN MY EYE!! 😉
I have blue eyes and I’m told I have my grandfathers eyes which make me happy because I loovved my papaw! Then people will will next say you also have his temper…. that’s ok too everyone loved him 🙂
So how you like how we went straight into summer here??? Girl it’s already HOT!
My eyes are brown. They were passed down from my grandpa, to my mom, to me, to Scamp. Beef has blue eyes. I always wanted blue eyes growing up, but I would never change them now. I used to wear contacts and just bought the clear ones.
My sister and her husband both dark eyes (hers are hazel) and my niece came out with the brightest blue eyes we’d ever seen!
Brown, brown and more brown.
🙂
I love my eyes. When I was born the official color put on the birth certficiate was “black.” How awesome is that? 🙂
My eyes are blue. Both my parents’ eyes are blue. My husband’s and my daughter’s eyes are blue, but my son’s are green.
Mine are brown, and I’ve been told they’re my best feature. My husband has ice blue eyes and hates them, but I think they’re stunning. When I was pregnant, I hoped for a brown-haired baby with ice blue eyes (I have a recessive blue-eyed gene), but got a blond baby with brown eyes. Who says God doesn’t have a sense of humor?
My eyes are brown, my moms are hazel and dad’s brown.
I seriously hoped my kids got their dads (blue-ish green hazel). Nope.
My oldest is a red head and has a beautiful carmel color and my youngest is a blonde (now dyed black) had the darkest gray eyes as a baby but they’re very dark brownish gray. If you look at him in the light from the side, you can see through them. Very weird.
I have hazel eyes…so depending on what I’m wearing I can make them look blue. I got my eyes from my mom. My dad had beautiful blue eyes, just like my hubby. Vader has brown eyes, so he didn’t get them from us (HA HA!)
I thought about getting colored contacts to make my eyes blue, but my vision is so bad that the contacts are too big to look correct. Maybe one day technology will catch up with my vision!
Mine are blue. Hubs are green, kids are all blue but Izzy has a brown stripe down the middle of her blue right eye.
Mine are blue-gray. So are my dad’s, which is who I got them from. My mom has green eyes.
G has blue-gray eyes; he got them from me. 🙂 I love that he got something from me! (he also got my curly hair, but that’s about it.)
Philip has hazel eyes. Mostly greenish, but they have gray in them too.
My eyes are hazel. If I wear something green they look more green and sometimes my eyeshadow makes them look greener (I’ve been told that pink eye shadow does that!)…but they are definitely NOT just brown. Mama and Philip have BROWN eyes and Daddy has blue.
Mine are hazel. I apparently inherited my Mom’s biological mother’s eyes. My parents both have blue.
Jennah and Jake have brown, and Emme had bright blue eyes until she was three years old! Since then they have slowly changed to hazel!

In response to your question about my stir-fry. No–it is not posted anywhere. I don’t make a crispy stirfry–I have to make sure the veggies are well done or my children won’t eat it. I like it both ways.
Blue. Like my parents. Like my hubby. Like all three kiddos.
I have dark brown eyes although I think they look more black than brown. Everyone in our family has the same color of eyes. I like hazel eyes so if I need to wear contacts, it would be nice to get hazel colored ones.
My eyes are hazel I guess. Or green. My mom says it depends on what Im wearing. I like my eye color so I don’t think I’d try and change them with contacts.
Fun QOTD as always.
Mine are blue and Stephen’s are a deep chocolate brown. I always assumed that our children would have his brown eyes, but Brenna’s are brown and Delaney’s are a gorgeous crystal blue (they look like my grandmother’s eyes). It’s funny because Brenna’s eyes are even shaped like Stephen’s, and Delaney’s are more like mine.
I wear contacts, but have never considered colored ones.
I’ve got blue eyes as does my sis. Now go figure this: my dad’s eyes are brown and my mom’s green. Two of my kids have blue eyes and one has green.
My eyes are green. I get that and my red hair from my dad! Joshua has green eyes too. Alan has hazel eyes! They are gorgeous….one of the things that drew me to him when we were dating.
