Week of April 8: Better Late than Never

This week I posted the meme late Sunday evening.
So that inspired this weeks topic, ‘Better Late Than Never’.
Are you usually late arriving? Late for work, school, parties…etc..?
Or are you usually on time or even prefer to be a few minutes early?
Are you late returning things as well? Library books, movie rentals…etc…?

till next time…

I’ve seen this meme posted at a couple of the blogs I like to read. So, I thought I’d play along this week. Click on the link above and play along at your blog too, if you’d like 🙂

My Answer: Better Late Than Never is great, but I prefer not to be late. Tim and I are both actually really punctual people. We think it’s important to be on time when we say we are going to be somewhere. Especially if other people are involved. We are never late for work, or a party or any thing else really. In fact, most of the time we try to be early. Not TOO early, but a few minutes early. We never return things late. That’s the stingy side of me, I refuse to pay late fees on library books, movie rentals or anything else. So, no, we are not late people. 😀 How about you?

  1. Lauren S. Said,

We have this in common! We are usually a few minutes early, very rarely late. I am a time-oriented person and my hubby is as well. I have to stay on schedule! Have a great day!

  2. Susie Said,

I’m pretty rabid about being early. Jeff hates that, too – he like to be right. on. time. and. not. one. second. early. It’s a teeny thing we argue about occasionally. I know that things come up and no one can always be on time for everything, but I think it’s awfully rude when people are habitually late. One of my many pet peeves!

  3. Presentstorm Said,

For us it depends on what it is and where it is and what we are doing ebfore hand. we are right on the middle I guess..

  4. Carrie Said,

Like you, I’m hardly ever late. Lateness bugs me and is rude when others are involved. A few minutes early is the best way to be! :o)

  5. kathy m Said,

I’m more like early bird gets the worm. HATE being late but I’m usually early.

  6. Dianne Said,

Well being late is a mortal sin in my husband’s book, so I”ve learned to toe the line and be on time . . . where bills, etc. are concerned. I’m not the kind of person to be late to church or work – 10 minutes early at least. I am, however, a great procrastinator, especially lately. So when it doesn’t affect anyone else, I do tend to run late!

  7. Lynne Said,

I try to be on time wherever I go. And I don’t like to be kept waiting either. My time is valuable to me, and I believe the same for others.

I know some people just can’t get places when they should – they just need to organize their time better. Of course, sometimes things happen and being late can’t be helped. But that’s what phones are for – let the other person know that you’ll be late.

  8. Laura Said,

I have always been a generally punctual person but I will slack when it doesn’t affect me or anybody else. I absolutely refuse to keep people waiting, though.

  9. Melody Said,

Glad you play too! ;P I hate to be late, and hate the most when rushing because I tend to forget something after leaving home. It’s always good to stay organized and have the time within my control.

  10. amy Said,

What a lovely meme! I can not be late..I will miss a whole event rather than be later. I very much stress out if being late is even a posibilty!

  11. Debi Said,

Oh, I so hate to be late! So I’m usually early. But I have to admit, now, with three kids, no matter how early we prepare and how well I think I’ve planned, things do occasionally go wrong. Like bathroom emergencies that end up not only take 15 minutes but end up needing a complete changing of clothes.

  12. Susanne Said,

I used to be a very punctual person until I had 3 children and 1 husband. ‘Nuff said. :v)

  13. JennaG Said,

I’m with you–I like to be on time! To me, being late is rude and unthoughtful–and maybe even a little prideful.

  14. Cam Said,

    We’re like y’all. We’re rarely late, and usually we’re a little early.

  15. Shawna Said,

I’m late, and I hate to admit it. But I’m not extremely late like the kind of person who shows up an hour or two late without calling. If I’m going to be late, I always call and am usually no more than 5-10 minutes late. I don’t return movies or books late. We like to get the dollar credit for the movie returned the next day! Maybe if the party waiting on me would offer to pay me, I would be better. Wait . . . no. I was still late when I was working! Ha!!

  16. mamichelle Said,

I hate, hate, hate to be late! I’m usually a few minutes early. Sometimes I get a week ahead of myself because I’m so concerned with being late on a birthday card or gift. LOL I panic when I’m late for a dr. appt. and I actually call the office. I can’t help myself. I’m just a punctual person!

  17. naida Said,

    have a great week :o)
