Booking Through Thursday Meme

Booking Through Thursday Meme

But, Who’s Counting?

Booking Through Thursday

How many books would you say you read in an average month? An average month, I would like to read 3-5 books. I always shoot for about one a week. Sometimes I read more and more often than not, it takes me more than a week to read a book. It definitely will depend on the week and what else is going on. 🙂
In a year? My goal is usually 52 books, which averages out to one a week. This year, though, I think my goal is going to be 70 or 75
Over the last five years? Well, I had to go back and look. I’ve kept a detailed list of the books I’ve read for the last 3 years, but not for any longer. I don’t think I was reading much before 2005, so I guess I don’t have a count for 03 or 04. But, for 2005 through today, I’ve read 119 books. 😀
The last 10? See above!

  1. meeyauw Said,

I like the goals people set for themselves (which I haven’t!). They seem reasonable / doable. Something I definitely will try.

  2. Becky Said,

I’ve started to fall behind in my reading. I started out strong, but the past month I’ve not read much. I can’t wait to read the two new books I won!!! And, I bought the Five Love Languages at Wal-mart the other day and am almost through…it’s great! My hubby & I actually sat down and took the quiz together to find our love languages! 119? That’s a lot of books! I love that you keep a list of what you’ve read. This is the first year for me to do that! But, I think it will definitely be a keeper!

  3. Gail Said,

I like to shoot for one a week but I’ve fallen behind this year too. I read 73 last year plus 2 books on tape but don’t think I’ll come close to that this year….just can’t seem to get in the groove!

  4. Julia Said,

I didn’t keep track until 2 years ago. But am sure I read lot in the last 5 to 10 years ago. But then maybe less than you 🙂 But am so glad that I’m keeping tracks now 🙂

Happy Booking Through Thursday! Thanks for stopping by my blog! Here is Mine!

  5. Jan Said,

I can’t set goals for myself or it ruins the reading for me. Our family reads all the time, in the car, waiting at drs offices, before bed, at dinner. And we all wear glasses or contacts. Does that tell you something?

  6. Daphne Said,

Thanks for stopping by my blog. It’s always nice to meet new people!

  7. Marianne Said,

I’m telling you… all you folks who keep reading lists put me to shame. I think I need to start immediately!

    Thanks for stopping by!

  8. Chris Said,

Stacy- Thanks for coming by my blog. 🙂

  9. Melody Said,

Hi Stacy, I’m really impressed with you ladies about keeping track of the books you read, looks like I have to do the same! Hehe. Happy reading and Happy BTT!

  10. Debi Said,

I’ve been keeping track of the books I read since 2000. Except during 2002 I lost track at some point. Then I started again in 2003. It’s neat to look back and see what I’ve read and how my reading tastes change. I try not to set too many goals cuz that takes the fun out of it. But it is neat to be able to look back and see the progress.
