Ridin High

New Orleans SaintsNeedless to say, we’re still on a football infused high at our house. Tim’s beloved Saints won last night, and are going to the NFC Championship game for the first time EVER in their franchise history. We’re watching the other playoff games today, to see who we’ll play and who will play for the AFC title game. Pretty exciting stuff for us, considering the Saints are perpetually never in the post-season games. And… I’m still looking forward to the premiere of 24 tonight.

On a different note, I blogged yesterday that I had started a new book. I did, and then about 25 pages into it, realized I was reading the WRONG book. Duh. I feel like a total mo-ron. I picked up book 5 in the series I am reading, and not book 3. Argh. Now I have a glimpse of what is going to happen and I feel terrible for starting the wrong one. I plan to rectify that this afternoon, if I get a chance (in between football games and commentary!). I had thought we would get a fair amount of rain this weekend, but it all appears to be going north of us. It’s partly cloudy here and in the 70’s. Not really winter, I’m afraid. Good news on our heating bill but bad news on several other fronts. Oh well, no complaining here. It’s all good here at our house 😀

Hope everyone’s having a good day. Geaux Saints!!!

  1. deb Said,

We’re watching the Patriots play this afternoon. I saw part of the Saints game last night and was really glad to see them win :))

    Have a great Sunday!

  2. Stacy Said,

yeah, yeah…you and your 70 degree weather. Thanks for rubbing it in! Jeff’s flight this morning was canceled. So, they flew him to ATL to fly a flight they canceled. He did find a way home though and ended up here earlier than if he had flown home. Good times!

  3. Gail Said,

What a GAME! We watched and I watched all the way to the end and loved that they won! So exciting, can’t wait to see next game.

  4. Dianne Said,

I was pulling for them (vs. the homestate team!) I had to shut it off when that guy fumbled with 3 minutes left. I’m pathetic. So glad they hung in there. Really, I like to see them get a chance at the championship – how exciting. (But you know I got that Peyton/Colts thing going on too!)

  5. Sherry Said,

Sorry, I am not a fan of football 🙁 I thought something was happening, as they were wearing football coats on QVC! LOL

No fair about the 70 degree weather! We are FINALLY getting winter here in MI! Tonight is a freezing rain/snow mix. Now THAT’S more like it! lol

    Sherry

ps I am sorry, I did NOT bring my lamp/table to the curb. I saw your motivating comment AFTER the garbage men came! This week for sure! It’s a promise!

  6. Debi Said,

Congrats on your big win! And that’s sincere, I swear!

  7. Claire Said,

Yay, Saints! Yay, Colts! Yay, Bears! Boo, Patiots! I went 3/4 in my predictions. Hopefully it will go like this…Colts and Saints. What would you do if that happened? Root outwardly for one and inwardly for the other?

  8. Jane Said,

Looking forward to your book review, great Reading list for 2007!

  9. jen Said,

    I’m glad the Saints one…

  10. Dawn Said,

    woohoo for the Saints!

and my heart is still trying to recover from yesterday’s Patriots game. =P looks like we will be rooting against each other in the next Patriots game though. 😉
