Feast One Hundred & Twenty Four

Appetizer
How do you usually celebrate on New Year’s Eve?
Well, we’re now officially “old married folks”, I guess after you pass 10 years, you get to call yourselves that, LOL! I’m not one for partying, and I really don’t like being out when half of the drivers are intoxicated, so I prefer to stay home. We stay in and watch TV or a movie and sometimes, if I’m lucky, I”ll get Tim to work on a jigsaw puzzle with me (something I used to do years ago with my sister at the holidays, that I still love to do!) The last couple of years, I am not sure we’ve even stayed up until midnight!

Soup
Name one thing unexpected that happened to you in 2006.
Finally, after 3 years of waiting and begging, we got another dog. Beau the wonder dog is now part of our little family!

Salad
Where was your favorite place that you visited in 2006?
We only went on one vacation, so I can only pick from that trip. I’d say Savannah and Tybee Island Georgia. It was beautiful there!

Main Course
What resolution is your top priority for 2007?
I don’t make resolutions, but I am going to continue to do as much reading as I can. I love to read and love getting lost in a good book 🙂

Dessert
Using just three words, describe 2006.
Another Year in Paradise 😆

Go here and enjoy the feast yourself!!!

Cute meme. Happy New Year almost!

  2. shellsq Said,

I still have to do my feast. Maybe later. Yours was great!

p.s. I love your red! And you used 4 words!! hehe jk, Stacy!

  3. Cam Said,

If I were there I’d do a jigsaw puzzle with you! That sounds fun!
We rarely went “out” on NYE even before G came along. I agree with you about the drunk drivers-scary!

  4. Susie Said,

I love doing puzzles and playing games and stuff like that. Jeff’s not big into that sort of thing, though, so I have to beg him almost as much as I have to beg him for a dog (to which he will not give in). I’m glad you finally got Beau! I know you had wanted a new pup for a while.

    Happy Friday! 🙂

  5. Debi Said,

I’m not a big partyer either and staying up till midnight is hard to do without a nap! I used to do jigsaw puzzles but I can’t do them now with our cats as they would turn the puzzle pieces into toys!

  6. rach Said,

Hi Stacy. A jigsaw puzzle is such a fun activity esp. when it involves the family. A new dog is a great blessing.

I wish you a lovely New Year!

  7. Write From Karen Said,

I LOVE your desert!! That is such a sweet, positive thing to say! (And how totally refreshing! *grin*)

I know what you mean about the old married couple bit. It’s HARD to stay up until midnight. We’ve napped in the past and then shook each other awake for the requisite kiss and then back to sleep. lol The kids, however, will stay up all night. (The one night of the year when there is no bedtime. hehe)

I like how you don’t make resolutions, I’m the same way. And I’m with you on the reading bit. Bring on the books! 😀

  8. local girl Said,

My Mom has a maltese names Beau! What was one of your favorite books this year?

  9. Judy Said,

Happy Friday. I enjoyed your feast… isn’t it nice to live in Paradise? 🙂

  10. Laura Said,

You know, I don’t think I have ever done anything fun for new year’s. And I think I’ve spent my whole life wishing I could. I still dream about being in Times Square some year. But I’ll probably be too old by the time we could do it. Heh. Maybe I’ll shoot for Vegas sometime.

  11. Jenny Ryan Said,

Ooh, my husband and I got engaged at Tybee Island 11 years ago! How cool 🙂

  12. Dawn Said,

awesome feast, Stace! i haven’t played yet, but i plan to. soon as i am done making my rounds visiting blogs! 😉

  13. amy Said,

  14. Barbara H. Said,

We’re quiet NYE celebrater’s, too. 🙂 I always wanted to visit Savannah when we lived in GA but never did. It sounds lovely!

  15. Gail Said,

Come here to my house and I’ll work a puzzle with you! The guys can do, whatever!
    I’m ready for adult company!

  16. Sherry Said,

More reading is on my agenda for next year too! I seem to wax and wane in my reading. I will go 2 months stuck in one book and then read seven the next. I want to try and average that out! I also plan on reading more classics next year! Reading is one of my biggest joys in life 🙂

    Sherry
