Catch-up

Saturday turned out to be a pretty busy day for us. And Sunday looks to be much of the same. Here’s what we’ve been up to:

  • Went to the Saints morning practice on Saturday. I took a lot of pictures and still have to load them either onto our main website or get them ready to post here. I’m going to wait since we’re going back again this afternoon (Sunday)
  • Tim went to the driving range and hit a couple of buckets of balls Saturday afternoon. Stacy went shopping and ran some errands (I had a couple of things to return)
  • We went out to eat dinner (date night, yeah!) at a new local Mexican place called Cazadores. We both really enjoyed it. The food was really good, the service was great, and the chips and salsa were good. Always a selling point with us and Mexican places, we like that we can get chips right away and prefer them to be hot and crispy and not greasy. We’ll definitely go back and eat there again 😆
  • We rented 2 movies from our list, one for Tim (Underworld:Evolution) and one for Stacy (Memoirs of a Geisha). We watched my movie last night and will watch Tim’s soon
  • We’re headed back out into the upper 90 degree heat this afternoon to go to another Saints practice. More pictures will be taken, and hopefully, we’ll get our first look at top draft pick Reggie Bush. He’s rumored to be showing up for camp today. This, of course, is after we’ve already spent several hours in the heat at the golf course. Tim wants to play golf and has coerced me into going with him. I might melt down completely before the day is over.
  • Stacy is wheedling and coercing Tim into picking up take-out Chinese for supper tonight, after we leave the training camp practice. I am craving Chinese really bad and we haven’t had it in a while (according to Stacy, Tim could go for years and be happy with not eating Chinese food). I can’t wait
  • We’ll watch 2 shows on TV tonight that I rather enjoy: The 4400 on USA network and then The Revolution series on the History Channel. Tim’s movie will have to wait until another night (I hope). Either way, I won’t watch Underworld, I will read instead. Am enjoying my new book, “A Good Yarn” by Debbie Macomber. I have to finish it soon so I can get started on the 3 I got from the library on Friday.
  • Have a great day everyone!

    2. Debi Said,

Yeah, I’m looking forward to photos too! Ooh, I love Mexican food, yummy. The 4400 is one of our favorite shows too. I’ve got it set to tape tonight but if i’m back at the hotel in time I may just stay up and watch it.

    3. Susie Said,

Jeff and I are picky about our chips and salsa, too! We have a favorite place here – J. Alexander’s – theirs is the absolute best!

Did you enjoy the “Memoirs” movie? I still haven’t watched it, believe it or not. We got it from Netflix quite a while ago. Just haven’t had time!

      Have a happy day!

    4. Gail Said,

      Yep, do pictures soon!
Oh, and I’m just saying, just sharing…..I had Chinese food for lunch today after church! Just thought you’d want to know 🙂

    5. Cam Said,

We had Chinese last Sunday! I was having a craving, too.
I hope you didn’t melt outside today. Though it sounds like something fun to do, the heat puts a damper on it I’m sure.
      Can’t wait to hear more.

    6. Laura Said,

The Saints thing is really cool. I wish we lived in a more sports-oriented city.

    7. Dawn P Said,

You know I’m so out of the loop, I didn’t even know the Saints were here until I saw it on the news the other night….

So where is Cazadores? I love Mexican so if it’s that good I’ll have to check it out. Usually some girls from the office and I will spend Friday afternoons at On The Border.

Just wanted to let you know I’ve moved to my own website. I’m at http://www.simplydawnmarie.com now:)

    8. Amanda Said,

Really looking forward to the pics! Mark had mentioned going to the upcoming game, but doubt that we’ll try to do that…Got too much going on. Got something every weekend for a while.

    9. Trista Said,

      Mexican food is my fav.
You sure have been busy. I like having the updates to read. I just need to make some time to post an update myself.
