Weekend Recap

We had a really busy, but really fun weekend. Tim and I grilled out Friday night, and then watched some TV. He is really into the NBA playoffs this time around, and is enjoying all the games. Which is a really good thing, since there’s not a lot else on TV to watch lately! 🙂

Saturday morning, Tim went to pick up Don at the hotel and they left to go play golf. Gail came over not long after, and we headed out shopping. We each bought a few things at Kohl’s, and I bought a pair of shoes at the shoe store. We met the guys for lunch at BackYard Burgers, then we all went to see the movie “The Break-Up”. I need to do a review on that for Hambones, but it won’t be a great review. It was an okay movie, but not that great, in my humble opinion. After the movie, we went back to our house to meet Daddy, who had driven up to get some papers signed. After Dad left going back home, we all ran to Walmart and picked up some food for supper. David, Elizabeth and Chris came over to eat with us, and we all hung out and watched TV and played games till really late.

Sunday, the guys played golf again, and Gail and I went shopping – again! This time we hit Target, more shoe stores, TJ Maxx, Marshall’s and Bed, Bath and Beyond. I only bought one thing, a new dish drainer, which doesn’t fit in my sink and will have to be returned. Gail found a few cute things, including some cute shoes. After the guys finished playing golf, we all went and got supper (at Lenny’s) and then went and looked around Reunion till nearly dark. Don and Gail had to head back home, and we drove around for a while longer, looking at different subdivisions.

Tim and I watched some of a “recap” type of show on the USA network about the TV show “The 4400”. We had never really seen it before, but it looks pretty interesting, and it is coming back on for the summer, so we may end up giving that show a try. There’s not much else to watch on TV right now!

  2. BillH Said,

What’s NOT to like about the NBA playoffs? Of course, I’ve been an NBA fan for over 20 years! This year the two teams I wanted are in the finals. Go Heat – Go Mavericks!
