Tidbits

  • It’s really pretty again here today. The past day or so, it’s been almost spring-like again and I’ve been able to open the windows and let the fresh air in, and not run the A/C.
  • I got my Barnes and Noble $25 gift card in the mail a day or two ago. I cashed in some of my points from MyPoints.com. Wow, that was fast, it was here in less than a week. I hope my DVD comes in soon too!
  • I’m not happy that all of my TV shows are winding down. 7th Heaven is over for ever, Survivor just finished Sunday night, NCIS and The Unit finished last night and tonight is the finale to Amazing Race. Idol and Lost will be over really soon too. I wonder if we’ll find anything to watch on TV this summer, or if we’ll be renting a lot of movies. We have a coupon booklet for some rentals at the video store, and after we exhaust those, we may give either Netflix or Blockbuster Online a trial for the summer. Me, I’m happy reading, but Tim will want to do movies a lot. Even though we own over 100 in our collection, Tim gets bored with watching those sometimes and wants to get something new or go to the theater. Sigh. I wish he would take up reading! 🙂
  • The squirrels have passed the word to the other squirrels in the neighborhood, apparently, that we have an all-you-can-eat-buffet in our backyard. 😀 We counted at least 5 or 6 out there this morning, jumping around in the trees and running along the fence, squaring off with other squirrels and having fights. They are serious about who gets to that corn first and are fighting to keep their place in the pecking order!
  • I actually bought a CD in a store a couple of days ago and didn’t download it from iTunes! I found the new Tim McGraw Greatest Hits 2 CD on sale at Circuit City for $2 cheaper than I could download it from iTunes (and already on a CD, for my car CD changer) and so I bought it. Hmmm. Tim was surprised to see me buying music and not just downloading it, but hey, 2 bucks is 2 bucks!
