Whew, it’s been a busy few days around here lately. Just felt the need to recap, for myself and others 🙂
Friday afternoon, Tim got off work a little early, so we headed out to go shopping. We went to Kohl’s and got him several new shirts for spring and summer. We ate supper at …
Stix and it was delicious! We did the teppanyaki side, and I had scallops and Tim got teriyaki chicken. It was all really good. Then, we went to the Park and played putt-putt. After that, we went for ice cream at Marble Slab and I tried soooooo hard to be good, and got chocolate nonfat frozen yogurt. Tim got double chocolate, so I had to have a bite of his. 😳 Then, we walked to Target for me to return a purse, then over to Best Buy to look around. After that, Tim agreed to go grocery shopping with me, and so we went to our Walmart in Madison. We were really late getting home.
Saturday morning I got up early and made Double Chocolate Gooey bars to take to the get-together on Sunday. We packed, and headed south to Hattiesburg. We stopped to visit my dad, and Tim did a little work for him out in the yard. Dad had a guy come out recently and do some landscaping and work in the yard, and it all looks really good. We visited a while, then all went over to Mark and Amanda’s house. Tim’s parents were there, and we all visited a while, then dyed eggs, and then we went to hide them at Kamper Park. We had a blast doing all that, but towards the end of our Easter Egg hunt, Ethan was running down a wooden sidewalk (with rusty nails sticking out in spots), and tripped and fell. He got a nice sized gash in his knee, and had to go to the ER with his mom and grandmom. Tim, Mark, Mitchell and I went back and started on supper (Mark cooked lots of good stuff on his grill). We hung out for a while, and then went back to my dad’s to spend the night.
We all went to church with Mark and Amanda at their church. They had a really nice Easter Cantata as most of their service. After lunch, we went back to Dad’s house and changed clothes, then packed and left for Mt Olive. Dad followed us, and came to Tim’s Aunt Becky’s house for the Simmons family get-together. We ate lunch (tons of good food), and then we got to visit all afternoon with Tim’s aunts, uncles, and cousins. Lots of fun!
