Ingredients:
1 cup fat free milk
6 wedges of Laughing Cow Light Cheese
1 tsp garlic powder
2 Tbsp reduced fat parmesan cheese
1 Tbsp butter
A little salt & pepper to taste
Directions:
In a medium-sized saucepan, combine all the ingredients until everything is melted and the sauce is velvety smooth, about 20 minutes. Serve immediately.
Stacy's Notes: Made August 2013, using the regular low fat version of Laughing Cow cheese (not the garlic and herb that the original recipe used). I added some Mrs Dash garlic and herb seasoning as well as a dash of onion powder and garlic powder. Instead of one cup skim, I used 1/2 cup of fat-free half and half and the rest skim milk. I used half powdered Kraft parmesan cheese and half real shredded parmesan, and maybe a bit more of the real stuff. This was really good! Served with Smart Taste rotini and grilled chicken.
