Stacy's Notes - Gail has made this for years, but I made it for the first time in October 2010. I used a 9" deep dish frozen pie shell and did not bake it first. I wasn't sure what kind of apple to use, so I just used what I had on hand, a mixture of Fuji and Gala apples. Used everything else the same (took a bit to cut in the butter with the flour/sugar combo). This took about 35-40 minutes in my oven, came out really good!
