Description: I've been making these for nearly 20 years... I think the original recipe came out of one of the Bell's Best cookbooks.

Ingredients:
1 box light brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
3 eggs
3/4 cup pecans -- chopped
3/4 cup butter or margarine -- melted
1 - 12 oz package chocolate chips
Directions:
Melt butter in saucepan. Mix butter and brown sugar and let cool. Beat in eggs - one at a time. Add flour, salt and baking powder. Add nuts and chips.
Pour into a greased 9x13 pan and bake at 350 for 30 minutes
Notes: These days I buy brown sugar in larger bags. I think a box is equivalent to approximately 2 1/4-2 1/2 cups. So maybe use 2 to 2 1/4 cups, these are pretty rich with all the butter, sugar and chips!
