Instructions
- Finely dice your red onion and set aside.
- Peel and dice avocado and add to your mixing bowl. Make it as chunky or finely diced as you like. Add a splash of fresh or bottled lemon or lime juice, to slow down discoloration and oxidation.
- Start with a very small amount of mayonnaise and sour cream. You can always add more but you cannot take it out! You won't need much, the avocados themselves are very creamy.
- Add any other seasonings that you like - we add garlic powder, red cayenne pepper, salt and pepper, and a few dashes of hot sauce. Mix and taste to adjust your seasonings.
- If you need to chill it, cover the guacamole as best you can with tightly placed saran or plastic wrap - press the wrap down on the top of the guacamole and get all the air out if you can. Store in the fridge until ready to serve. If there's a slight layer of brown on the top, simply take a spoon and remove.
- Serve with tortilla chips or on your favorite Tex-Mex dish. Enjoy!
