Recipe Notes

Stacy's Notes:

  • If you don't have buttermilk, just measure out regular milk a couple of tablespoons shy of the required amount (in this case, 1 1/2 cups) and sour with either lemon juice or white vinegar. Let sit at room temperature at least 5 minutes before incorporating.
  • This recipe doesn't have vanilla, but I always add at least 1-2 capfuls, or 1 teaspoon.
  • For my waffle iron (I have the additional 4 square waffle iron plates for my Cuisinart griddler), I always spray the top and bottom plates with non stick cooking spray. For my size waffle iron, a 1/4 cup measure works great for filling each waffle cavity.
  • Enjoy!
