January 2019 Pantry Challenge #1 – Welcome!

Hey Y’all!

We are so excited to do our first Pantry Challenge!  We’ve created a hashtag to use for any social media post – #LCYPantryChallenge1. LCY is short for Let’s Cook Y’all and the #1 at the end is because we plan to do more of these in the future.

Feel free to play along, whether you are a YouTube creator making videos, or just a viewer. If you’re a viewer, you can leave comments on the videos during the month, or you can leave comments here. I hope we can all encourage one another to cook more out of our pantry, freezers and fridge.

If you are a Youtube Creator, be sure to include #LCYPantryChallenge1 in your video description, and please mention and link to our channel.  You can create separate videos and include in the playlist. Just check the Show More Description box for the link to be invited to the playlist, or email me, or comment here with your email and I’ll be glad to forward the link to you. Once approved, you can add your videos to the month-long playlist.

I will be sharing our menus as normal, on Mondays, and denoting which meals will be Pantry meals.  I’m making an inventory now and working on meal ideas for the whole month. My pantry and freezer are so well stocked, that I fully envision these meals carrying over some into February, LOL!

Let’s all save a little money, use what we have and make some great meals during the month!  I’m excited, are you?!!!
